A U.S. law enforcement official tells CNN that the man held in the slaying of JonBenet Ramsey offered details about the condition of her body that have never been made public.

>>>This is a family in which girls get married before they're old enough to drive. It's hardly surprising that their households are the sort of places where they can't lay their hands on specific photos from 10 years back.>>>
Actually, it's the in-laws that have the girls that marry before they are old enough to drive.
The rest of the family is pretty normal.
Precisely. All that, plus randomly pick the one house in Boulder where that little beauty queen lived. Then go directly to the correct bedroom where the little girl slept, while not disturbing anyone else in the house. Then kill her either there or down in that remote basement storeroom. Then stage the way her body was found. Then write that three-page note (including making corrections and changes). In the note, just magically asking for the identical amount of the bonus John Ramsey had received.
>>>Was the father told that his son was DEAD??>>>
No, after the case in California involving the Child porn, he skipped country. Everyone assumed he was dead (ie: committed suicide in some foreign country and they didn't know who he was) since they hadn't heard from him since 2001. So he was presumed dead. Surprise!
You know the family and you think he's the killer?
Lemon Curry?
Egad! That's fabulous!
That makes sense.

Nah, he's Pee Wee Herman's evil twin with a little Montgomery Clift in the cheek bones.

I don't if there was a reward offered by the family or any other party. All I recall is the parents being unusually uncooperative.
Given that the investigators were almost as incompetent as the parents were uncooperative, and the amount of time that's gone by, I also doubt that the evidence in investigators' possession has been utterly secure all this time. Probably a lot of police dept. clerks had access to the evidence along the way, and nowadays it's so easy to snap a picture of something with an itty bitty camera on a cell phone. And the investigators themselves may have babbled along the way, to people who were close friends or spouses at the time, and have since drifted away and become close to other people, and re-babbled to them. I suspect if authorities offered a $100,000 reward to anyone who could provide a detailed description of the body within the next hour, with a guarantee of not being investigated for how they came to know it, there would be at least a couple of dozen winners who had nothing whatsoever to do with perpetrating or covering up the crime.
None of this is "random" if the guy was stalking JonBenet and observing the house and/or the family. He could have been watching a long time...
For instance: all he had to do was sit in a grocery store/mall parking lot, watch for a certain type of family with a child to come out, follow them home and proceed to watch for days at a time.
"I remember seeing details from the ME's report on the web some time ago, when the Ramsey's were still "under suspicion". Patsy must have known, and for all we know, some of that could have come out in her correspondence with this turd."
Ramsey never corresponded with this guy. The E-mail was intercepted and answered by Law enforcement. He was duped.
the difference with me and this guy is that I haven't confessed to the crime. It is very easily confirmed he was with his family or not in 1996, get a grip!
This is a case that has been talked about to the nth degree on TV, radio and in print from the beginning. Someone obsessed with the case could easily come across obscure details that are accessible to the public, but not widely known. Someone obsessed with the case could easily take those obscure details and surmise other details that might come close to the truth, or even be the truth.
That's precisely what people do when they research and write books about murder cases.
I was trying to make the point that "knowing" someone does not necessarily mean one has access to very private/personal things. Even a hired-hand wouldn't know. A LIVE-IN housekeeper or LIVE-IN nanny MIGHT know some of these things. Not as well, though, as the murderer knows or knew.
Another possible scenario is that the Ramsey's going to GA to visit relatives...Karr sees them and becomes obsessed with JonBenet.....did Patsy's relatives put JonBenet's photo in the local paper in Ga everytime she won a contest?...that is another way he could have *found* her........just thinking out loud..
btw....I think whoever killed JB was in the house the whole time the Ramsey's were at the party...he had time to roam the house and write the kidnap letter....which I think he meant as a kidnapping, but something went wrong..
You said it yourself...anything is possible. I'm only saying that whoever did it (Karr or anyone else), it wasn't an instance of some transient blindly happening upon that house with that little beauty queen. Whoever wrote the ransom note did not just channel the amount of John Ramsey's bonus.
So if it was Karr, I would expect to eventually hear he had some connection to the Ramseys, even if they were unaware of it. For example, suppose Karr (or whoever killed JonBenet) was hanging around kiddie beauty pagents, became obsessed with her, and began quietly stalking her. The killer might then have acquired sufficient information about the family to do the things we have been told are facts in this case.
He has that same vacant look in his eyes like Oswald had. It was really creepy watching this guy.
That being said, I really have my doubts as to whether or not this creep killed Jonbenet. He does not appear to be the kind of guy who would walk into a house and then assault and murder a kid in the basement while the family was there.
to further speculate:
I have no doubt pedofiles communicate with each other via chatrooms, email lists, instant messages and forums. In 10 years it is possible this guy actually did get in contact with the real perp and get some info first hand,
As to doing contracting on that house, Karr's father ran (and still does) a building contracting company building new houses and renovating old ones. This is in a trendy area of Atlanta, not far from the area the Ramsey's lived.
This said, there is no way he could have been involved in work on the Ramsey home without someone knowing he was there. He would have had to be on site for days, and someone would have seen him. Contractors talk among themselves and get to know who is on a job site.
Is it BOTH JMK's family and his 2nd ex-wife's family that are claiming they know he wasn't in Colorado at the time of the killing? I'd only heard about the ex-wife making that claim.
