BANGKOK, Thailand - The American suspect in the killing of JonBenet Ramsey told investigators that he drugged and had sex with the 6-year-old beauty queen before accidentally killing her, a senior Thai police officer said Thursday.
An autopsy on Ramsey said a blood screening showed no drugs or alcohol in her body but said she had vaginal abrasions.
Lt. Gen. Suwat Tumrongsiskul, head of Thailand's immigration police, said by telephone that he was not present for the questioning, which was conducted by U.S. law enforcement officials.
But, according to what the general said he was told of the questioning, the suspect, John Mark Karr, "said he drugged the child." Suwat did not say who briefed him on the questioning.
Karr claimed he had sex with Ramsey, who was still alive, Suwat said. Karr said he then realized he had "accidentally" killed her, according to the general.
A spokesman for the U.S. Embassy said it had no information about Karr's alleged actions or what he said to questioners. U.S. and Colorado law enforcement officials were unavailable for comment.

Last night on one of the talk shows, I cant remember which, an ME from Arizona was part of a panel of experts and he said he was asked by the Boulder DA to look at the forensic evidence. He discovered or rather , probably revealed for the first time that a sliver of wood that matched a wooden paintbrush in the Ramsey household was found in Jonbenets vagina. He further claimed that it was the paintbrush that caused the vaginal abrasions and bleeding.This " symbolic "penetration/rape is not that uncommon with pedophiles. He is not interested in sex as we know it. His fantasies are about achieving power and he seethes with hatred. That is his motivation.
So, who brutally and savagely beat and raped their daughter? Was it Mommy or Daddy? And why did they feel it was necessary to do this?
Sandra Ford, a retired fifth-grade teacher at Kilby School in Florence supervised Karr's internship, says she was concerned by the way he related to female students. Karr's marriages to teen girls also generated talk in the area. Court records show a 14-year-old girl sought an annulment of their "ceremonial marriage" in 1985. She claimed she feared for her life when she agreed to wed him in 1984, when she was just 13 and he was 19. Karr admitted she was a minor, but denied she was 13.
A judge granted the annulment. Karr later married Lara Karr, who was 16 when their twin daughters died the day they were born on September 1st, 1989. The girls, Angel and Innocence Karr, are buried in the cemetery of a rural church in a family plot. Former Sheriff A-C Tice says the twins were born at home. Probate Judge Annette Bozeman says Karr apparently delivered his children.

That is correct, he was just being detained at the request of the US authorities. Because he was convicted in absentia for the porn, he became a target to be deported from Thailand.

I dont think he killed her either Palladin. I think this fruitloop is dying of aids and looking to go out in a blaze of glory. Simple as that. I hope I'm wrong and that this 10 year nightmare is over. We'll see.

With the earliest reports, I had high hopes the killer had been apprehended. Caught in Thailand--pedophile paradise. ICE agents on the case. FBI involved.
Then it all unravelled, as soon as I learned he had been drawn into a sting by the fraudulent professor Michael Tracey.
Oh, well--back to Square One.
I have an uneasy feeling about Professor Tracy. Most of the Profs I've known have been drunks and lechers. I have a very low opinion of profs in general. I'm VERY interested in the relationship between these two and I'd LOVE to see the Email correspondence ( hundreds ) between them.
If John Ramsey received the bonus as stock options 10 months prior then it would have been in the company quarterly reports which are publicly accessible documents.
It wouldn't have been private information at all. Claims that nobody could have known the amount except John and Patsy would be specious.
It's just a weird coincidence (or the killer was watching and planning this crime for a while).
For what it's worth I don't think he killed HER either. OTOH he may have killed another child that resembles her. He was rather obsessed with her and IMO capable of murder.
Wasn't there a killer a few years back that killed small frame women with a peculiar hairstyle.
The guy is real creepy and he should be locked up for life for being a pedophile.
Most likely he has a long history of crimes against children. Yet he has only one previous arrest on five misdemeanor counts of possessing child pornography. (It's a misdemeanor? This was in CA.)
He's one of those slithery ones who fly under the radar, if I may mix my metaphors.
I hope they make some charges stick, maybe the ones in CA, and keep this creep away from kids.
I was reading in the Bangkok newspaper that he was sacked from a school there for "scaring the children". He's been in and out of Thailand four times in 2 years, with a valid US visa. He most recently re-entered from Malaysia.
He's probably been preying on those poor little Tsunami victims.
