JonBenet Ramsey D.A.: More Work Needed
ASSOCIATED PRESS
BOULDER, Colo. (AP) - The district attorney in the JonBenet Ramsey slaying says there is "much more work" to be done in the case against the suspect and she is warning the public not to "jump to conclusions."

Bull. This woman can stand there and tell us about the law in Colorado, but we've all seen other Colorado cases where the DA has talked about evidence (the Kobe case, for instance) and if she had rock solid evidence or believed in her case, she wouldn't have used such mealy mouth words.
Her case is falling apart in front of her and unless the DA matches up, it's over.
Here it goes again...Jeeze LOL, good luck. We try them in the press and convict them in the blogs. I've seen dozens of posts that he was jailed on a sex crime in Thailand. I don't think there IS such a thing as a sex crime in Thailand. He was arrested at his apartment. |
"Wonder how many FR readers don't follow the thread to conclusion and come away with the impression, he just wanted to get out of some Thai jail..."
Well, if Freepers base their conclusions on what I clearly labeled as "My thoughts", there's not really much I can do for those people.
I appreciate you setting me straight but I must say your tact is considerably lacking.
Eye candy.
Sorry, my mistake. thanks for correcting.
I don't know if it was a "backtrack" but the "exigent circumstances" remark certainly does seem like a potential out for law enforcement if the case falls apart.
Right after she said that she said that she's not saying that applies to this case. She is watching her words very carefully, because unlike the Boulder police, she actually respects the Colorado code.
I heard that also. This was possibly the most useless press conference I've ever seen and was put on for the sake of giving each other pats on the back, all while their case is looking weaker and weaker.
How is the horse doing?
Where is OJ?
Can we combine all of this uninteresting crap into one thread that will die?
Or perhaps we should talk about illegal immigration?
I apologize. I was on another thread and documenting his arrest from the story in the Rocky Mountain News with numerous folks saying the same thing. Got carried away...
The DA laid out specific guidelines, including a confession or no confession, evidence or no evidence, guilty plea or no plea, test results or no test results.
So, if a reporter asks if it could possibly be a false confession, I think that falls under what she cannot comment on.
She essentially got up there to say they had been following leads for quite some time now and I picked up that they had sent someone a week ago Monday to Thailand.
however, if he was available to do the crime, which is apparently in question, and he knows certain details about the crime that have not been released, then he is good to go...
other theory is that he was in communication via the pedophile internet and exchanged "pleasantries" with other pedo's that are more directly connected to this case.....
I am thinking that Jon Benet's pictures were a hot item on the pedo network.....
The family says they have pictures from the Christmas in question to prove his alibi.
Also, the father gave an interview (it's posted on FR somewhere). In the article, the father said he thought his son was dead since he hadn't heard from John since his arrest in 2001. In 2001, John told some people he'd been arrested for killing Jon Bonet.
Yawn. Perhaps she has learned from the Kobe case and the HORRIBLE job done by the initial crew working on the Ramsey case and is keeping her mouth shut so as not to become like those dunderheads. That's not to say that this guy is guilty, but I admire the way this woman is handling it. Very honorable.
The single most interesting thing I heard in her talk was when she mentioned the word "anniversaries" when asked about tips, etc. Wonder if that could mean he was spotted at the Ramsey's or graveside, etc. on the anniversaries of the child's death?
ROFL. Sure sounds like it to me.
I saw the resume last night and wondered if they were trying to back track all of those families he has supposedly worked for.
