"They took 5 polygraphs passed them all."

Series 1:

1. Did you inflict any of the injuries that caused the death of JonBenét?

2. Regarding JonBenét, did you inflict any of the injuries that caused her death?

3. Were those injuries that resulted in JonBenét's death inflicted by you?

Series 2:

1. Do you know for sure who killed JonBenét?

2. Regarding JonBenét, do you know for sure who killed her?

3. Are you concealing the identity of the person who killed JonBenét?

Series 3 (Patsy Ramsey only):

1. Did you write the ransom note that was found in your house?

2. Regarding that ransom note, did you write it?

3. Is that your handwriting on the ransom note found in your house?

SOURCE

They answered "no" to all questions.

The only "tough" question (if they're involved) is Series #2, Question #3.

I agree and I think ti is wise the DA keeps as quiet as she can. This guy could have been the killer of JonBenet for sure for all we know and if she talks about it, her case could be ruined!

He's making it up as he goes, IMO. 15 minutes of fame.

It was possibly the most useless and content free press conference I've ever witnessed, and we've all seen plenty like it. There was simply no reason to even hold a press conference except to give each other kudos and have some face time (politics).

I've heard that when polygraphs are administered by someone who's friendly to you (like your defense lawyer) you're likely to be cool, calm and collected even if you're guilty

The converse can be true as well. If you're in a stressful situation with people who are not being nice to you, you can fail even if you are telling the truth. There's a reason why we don't rely on the polygraph much anymore. The FBI and other agencies do use them for hiring purposes, but that's a different situation. I can see why the Ramsey's lawyer would tell them only to submit to a polygraph done by a neutral or hired party even if they were innocent. Again, I'm not saying this guy killed JonBenet. All I'm saying is the fact that the Ramseys took polygraphs in non-stressful situations shouldn't be thought of as suspicious.

Nifongery

I like that word, but I don't think it applies here.

Had Nifong been holding this press conference he would have come up with all sorts of 'evidence' against Karr. Imaginary or not.

"The Duke Lacrosse team was in Boulder when this crime was committed."
"I'm having DNA tests done on the entire team."
"Photograph me on my left side, it's more photogenic."

i don't think the guy did it. i think he's looking for the notoriety.

I agree. The one thing that seems the most bizarre to me over all the bits of information we've gotten on this case in the last 10 years is the exact amount of John's bonus that was mentioned in the kidnapping note. Of all the amounts that could have been pulled out of thin air there's no way, IMO, that the amount of $118,000 was just a guess by a stranger.

What you heard is not true. Most people are very nervous about it. The guy who gave the Ramsey's their tests has been doing it since 1968. Over 20,000 tests administered. He is past president of the national association for this profession. He said he had his results confirmed by another noted examiner in a blind review of the charts. I have no opinions about the guilt of anyone in this case, but there is no obvious reason to question the honesty of the lie dector tests just because they were done privately, rather than at the police station.

Absolute rubbish.

And I again applaud her work on this case, regardless of whether or not this is the killer. Her team followed up a lead just like they should have.

The DA did everything a good DA should do in that press conference, which includes following the Colorado Code.

Watch his body language. Sometimes he is truthful. Sometimes he is not. His eyes dart sometimes. He is "uptight" and relaxed alternately. He hesitates before he makes a complete statement.

The "I was in Love with Her" was a lie. The "I was with her when she died" was a "sicko" statement.

He hates the pretty and the rich.

Where does he get his money?? Is he a male prostitute??

I agree. I thought the same thing when the authorities held a press conference after the BTK serial murder was caught (thank goodness he messed up or that case would probably still be unsolved).

I think it would have been better just to issue a statement that they have Karr in custody and would be flying him back to the states within a week

He does not look healthy.....is there chance he has AIDS or some other disease? He is very thin looking. Maybe he is dying and is now looking for his 15 minutes of fame.

Thinking on the same line...AIDS or getting ready to have a sex change....Check out his shirt and facial texture in comparison to earlier picture.

It's all about the note for me, too. Not just the bonus, but the writing style and handwriting. This guy will never pan out as the murderer. There will be no DNA match.

Looks like he's wearing make-up. Wouldn't be surprised if he dolled himself up right before being taken in.

Maybe he meant he was "with her" in spirit. Items in his "confession" could be open to interpretation.

Waiting to see how he is definitely placed in Boulder on 12/25/06
