An arrest in the JonBenet Ramsey case is due to happen "shortly," according to sources in our newsroom -- I know I can't post the link to our site (we're a Gannett station, and despite the "ban", I would welcome the traffic), but most of you know where I work and what the site is...
According to our sister station in Denver, an arrest took place early this morning in Thailand.

Yes, the police make mistakes, but I think before you make such horrible accusations against a 9 year old child you should have some kind of solid evidence to back it up. There was never one piece of evidence that implicated Burke other than he was in the house at the time of the murder. Think of what that child has lived through after 10 years of people lightly throwing it out there that he was a monster that murdered his own sister.
Brother doesn't seem to broken up, or outraged. Very odd.

This Carr/Karr was supposedly writing a book about child predator/killers? Either this brother is dumb as a box or rocks or is trying to come up with a story.
Also - supposedly earlier the were SURE he was with them in 1996 at Christmas.. now they have to check albums...

yep, him admitting he was writing a book on men who commit sex crimes against children and was researching John Benet's murder has guilty written all over it.
I don't think this guy knew his brother thay well and he is about to find out the ugly truth witch is his brother is a perp!

I must admit I have the radio on, TV, and computer... I didn't catch every bit of the interview, but the demeanor of the brother surprised me. Maybe it's just a weird family, but that seemed an odd way to respond to a brother's arrest in a EXTREMELY infamous case. Either this thread is getting to me computer, or something, posts having trouble.
I think what I heard though was that she was in the clothes she wore the night before to a Christmas party. Maybe I'm not remembering that right. I do know one thing.....what I wear to a Christmas party the night before isn't exactly what I'd grab if something happened in the night or wee hours of the morning. I'd be more inclined to grab my sweats, or my robe, or even a pair of jeans and t-shirt.
I don't think it was what she was wearing that was a main cause for suspicion. I think it was only one small part of a few other things that created a huge ball of wax, so to speak.
Personally, I wasn't one to take a stand on who had killed JonBenet. Some people felt they just KNEW who was guilty, and that seemed kind of silly to me. Sure, we all talked about it and played the "detective" game, but no one but the killer knew for sure. So the rest of the folks were just screamin' at the wind, IMHO.

My question, how does he know it was a man who commited the crime against John Benet? Could it be cause he knows he was the one who did it?
I also think the police know way more than we know. They would not be arressting this guy or making a big fuss over him if they didn't have some damning evidance against him.
I think they may have their guy!

You have to admit it's a good cover story for a pedophile. I think this is going to be one sick story before it's all over. If this is actually the person that murdered JonBenet, then I'm certain that in 10 years he has committed other murders. It would be so easy to get away with it in Cambodia and Thailand, too.
That is what really bothers me tonight. There have been many gracious people who have said they were wrong.
There are just as many people who are furiously trying to tie Patsy into this, still.
Any woman who would put her tiny daughter into sexualized photo/pageant situations is sick, and is exposing her child to every pedophile on earth!
I'd love to know (in this media frenzy) what caused them to decide to arrest this guy. I hope it was not a hunch.
