Try uninstalling Norton. I have seen it slow systems down to the point they become unuseable.

Degragment your hard drive:
Start/Programs/Accessories/System Tools/Disk Defragmenter
Then get back to us.

I recently purchase a new pc for my office and one of the first orders of business was to uninstall Norton. To my surprise, it informed me that, "you don't have sufficient privileges", or sum such nonsense. Anybody have a clue how to work around this in light of the attempt to block Norton uninstall?
