I'll be down your way on Monday. I'm taking my son and nephew on a tour of colleges. 10 days on the road. Yikes!
What percentage of the tuna meat are each of them?
They don't call me sushiman for nothing !
So our Buckeyes are supposed to notice????
Are you behind the sushi bar or just a big eater like me?
" What percentage of the tuna meat are each of them? "
DonT know about percentages ...Toru is the least fatty ; chu toru next ; anf finally o-toro which is quite fatty . I prefer chu toru myself .
What a charming message. I see I'll be searching for your posts, hershey.
Not a big eater ...At my " local " I order an 8 piece set plus two extra pieces of kanpachi which is a kind of yellowtail . 10 pieces in all with a beer or glass of sake . Now and then I'll get some fresh ( straight from the in shop fishtank ) sashimi for an appetizer . The master at my local serves the usual sushi that you dip in soy sauce , but he also makes another which doesn'r require soy sauce . He places a beefsteak plant leaf between the fish and teh rice , sprinkles a little salt on it , and before one eats it one squeezes some lime on top and eats it that way . Yummy !
I was in London in 1998 for a week and went to Stonehenge. Had my photo taken there and then sent the photo onto Jim Robertson at FR in Fresno. The young man actually responded back to me that he recieved the photo. Oddly enough, the message made my day.
I was in Girvan Scotland last November. My family is from Inverness way back when. Scotland in November: 40 degrees F and a low hanging cloud of moisture to accompany the four hours of sunlight.
Night shift peep here in DFW, TX.
" heard one time on the internet that a person can get whale meat in Japan. Is that correct? If that is right, what does it taste like? "
There are still shops in Japan that serve whale , but it's usually raw . Cooked it tastes very similar to steak .
I'm in Bahia in September! Then Paris for a week in October and then India and China in December. Mostly, I'm hitting the good weather times for the locales (I was in Tokyo in April and it was terrific. Cherry blossoms and everyone seemed to be falldown drunk.

" I was hoping you were a sushi chief, so then I could fly to your establishment, and hit you up for the 'obligatory' 50 piece 'Fellow Freeper' complimentary dinner. :)"
Tell you what , if you fly over here I'll BUY you a 50 piece sushi dinner !
The local beers
I'm going to make it through the first 50 posts before I sign off before dinner.
