On August 4th, we found out that Lenovo Group, the company that has taken over IBM's Personal Computing Division, had made a deal with Novell Inc. to preload SLED 10 (SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop) on its ThinkPad T60p mobile workstation.
For the first time, a major OEM (original equipment manufacturer) has committed to preloading a Linux desktop.

I guess you don't realize that most Toyotas sold here are made in America using American labor, and they're building new American plants so they can build even more in America. A Camry is 75% US parts and made in America, making it one of the most American cars you can buy. Meanwhile, a Ford Mustang is is made in America but only has 65% American parts, which means it technically doesn't even make the cut for "Made in America." And the Dodge Charger isn't even made in America.

First, you twisted the argument from "BSD's use" to "BSD users use" when I pointed out how much GPL software ships with FreeBSD. I stated fact, you stated personal opinion based on some BSD users you supposedly know.

No I was stating fact, as anyone would know, that BSD has a seperate license than Stallman's and there is little to any interaction between the BSD's and the FSF/GNU. They actually disagree on most every point, but to listen to you one would think BSD uses Stallman's license and every piece of Stallman code they can find, which is ridiculous. I agree that BSD is about as free as you can get without being public domain. However, unlike the GPL, BSD code can be effectively turned into absolutely non-free proprietary. I believe it is the inability to effectively steal others' GPL-licensed work that angers you.
You can believe whatever mixed up fabrications you want, but the fact is BSD's use Stallman as little as possible because his claim of "free" is bogus, like most everything else about him. I guess that's why you support him so much, but who knows why, just that it is.
There has to be a piece of GPL software out there that you wanted to roll into your proprietary software without having to pay for it (=give back changes), and that pissed you off so much you constantly have to rant about the choice of license that copyright holders make.

The only hatred that I can see around here on display is that directed at Bill Gates, and at me since for some reason they see me as some sort of proxy. I tell people constantly to switch to Apple or Sun or even BSD and they still can't control themselves from attacking me constantly just because they have no other answers at that point. There are plenty of legitimate reasons for not running Microsoft, there's just not many good ones for using Linux instead.
As for other more important events than one's choice of software, you darn right they exist, and this used to be a good place to discuss them till this open source crowd showed up and started ramming these ridiculous Linux posts down everyone's throat. You should have seen all the lies about Linux posted, repeatedly on here earlier this year. That IBM was switching internally, that Dell was selling it on home desktop computers, that Google was releasing a version of Linux, that VMware was based on Linux, on and on, now they're even pushing this chicom laptop.
So if it bothers you that I speak out against foreign products and dispell all the Linux lies, sorry, that's what I feel compelled to do when I see it posted. I comment on other threads on occasion, and would much prefer to do that, but when I see obvious inaccuracies posted, often in defense of leftists or foreign governments or products, I'm going to try to set that record straight first. And there sure is a lot of it these days. You can't be a proud American anywhere these days, not even on FR, LOL.
The fallacy of your argument is that the world is becoming a more integrated place. As an example, the foreign car issue has been discussed which revealed that many of those so-called foreign products are actually more American than many American cars are.
This and other examples and concepts seem to pass over your head without registration let alone consideration.
