My favorite sci-fi character is Marvin the Robot from Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
My favorite human in a sci-fi role is a tie between James Doohan and DeForest Kelley.

The series or the movie? I vaguely remember the movie -- Kevin Bacon IIRC and it was super tongue in cheek.
Either one..although Burt wasnt the same in the series..mainly because Heather left him and took her HK-91.
I loved B5 in its first incarnation. They changed the time and I lost track, but I recall that G'Kar had an eye removed by the Centauri and Sheridan gave up 10 years of his life.
The last one I ever saw was when Sheridan was being interrogated by extremely evil but powerful psychological methods by Earthers(?). Just when he thought he was to be killed, it started all over again.
For some reason I never had a chance to see another episode (I think I started travelling and this was way before we had DVRs).
Always fun to see what people think.
If the SciFi channel proceeds as usual, they will run the series again.
I'll try to catch it.
