Well, the Euros will not have the last laugh, since the US will be free hopefully for a long while after Europe turns Muslim.

You want to grant the government power to grant groups of people because some of them may someday be dangerous?

God help conservatives if the far left gets in office...

"God help conservatives if the far left gets in office... "

We didn't have this PC nonsense in WWII, but I think you miss that it's the Left that wants these folks here. The Left sees Islam as an ally against the West, as silly as that is. We'll lose more people with the Norm Mineta approach than with one that considers this a war.

You're using similar arguments as the Left used against the communications wire-tapping program. The chances of us deporting American-citizen Muslims? Slim to none at this point. Too many don't see this as a war.

However, there's nothing unconstitutional about limiting Muslim immigration to the United States.

Fortunately people like Vision , Peisistratus have very little power. The threat is in the aid and comfort they provide to Americas enemies. Everytime they speak Osama smiles.

"Fortunately people like Vision , Peisistratus have very little power."

You make a lot of assumptions as to just who you are talking to.

"Everytime they speak Osama smiles."

I'm sure someone thought that Churchill was a Hitler enabler too....

You simply cannot deport American citizens, war or not. You keep acting as if it's a possibility, in the future, but it is not.

Churchill? You? LOL!!

You don't even know the basics of the rights of an American citizen.

"You simply cannot deport American citizens, war or not."

Yes, you can. It's been done before. It's called a "revocation of naturalization" and may be used against a naturalized citizen. Once citizenship is legally stripped, they may be deported.

Birth citizens are a more difficult issue from a legal perspective, but people like Yaser Esam Hamdi were convinced to give up their citizenship or face internment at Camp X-Ray.

"You keep acting as if it's a possibility, in the future, but it is not."

Not in this political climit, no. Not on any scale beyond people actually captured fighting American troops. However, we most certainly can limit visas and further immigration from terrorist states.

It doesn't include the right to plot the downfall of the Constitution.....

"Apples and oranges"

Just different flavors of apples. As I recall, the President at least once referred to "Islamic fascism"....

Then put those who are actually plotting the "downfall of the Constitution" in prison for sedition. You are not going to deport them, however.

Actually charged with "sedition"? Really?

"You are not going to deport them, however."

Nope. ICE will do that after the appropriate adjustment to their naturalization status in a civil court. They've done it on occasion.

Birth citizens are a more difficult issue from a legal perspective, but people like Yaser Esam Hamdi were convinced to give up their citizenship or face internment at Camp X-Ray.

But the SC ruled in favor of Hamdi (and Padilla later) and because of this, returning Hamdi to Gitmo without charges would be a violation of habeas corpus. Hamdi, who had undoubtedly committed a number of crimes, basically struck a plea bargin that was a face-saving move for the DoD and DoJ more than anything. In exchange for the charges being dropped, he agreed to renounce his (legally dubious) citizenship.

However, what was proposed on this threat was not striking plea bargins with criminals. What was proposed was expelling all Muslims from the United States. Including the majority of Muslims in America -- innocent citizens.

Me, I'm happy that "this political climate" keeps the government from expelling law-abiding citizens from the country. You should also be happy, because it means we are a nation of laws.

Hah. I meant to write "thread" but in this case, the typo is an apt one.

Perhaps "apples and worms" would be better.

"You've painted yourself into a corner here."

Again you suggest that I'm the one wanting to replace the Constitution with Sharia... In reality, it's your friends at CAIR that desire this. They've said so.
