(If only the peloton had taken his advice!)

Glad they didn't! :-D

WOW:The surgery left his right leg an inch shorter than his left. Didn't know that. He must have had to completely readjust his riding positions.

Well, no attacks on the Col du Berthiand. All the leaders are riding right together -- don't know if they have a "gentleman's agreement" for today or what, but they are all in one little clump riding together. Saunier Duval is still pulling the train, and the gap is still at around 3:15-3:30.

Bobke wasn't the only one who thought he might make a break yesterday (not implying I did :). I suspect that those who knew that he might still have some legs left knew that he could go for it, but Landis himself didn't describe it as taking them by suprise, he said that he caught them while they were still disorganized.

The peloton just couldn't get their shiite together to defend themselves. His break was so quick, brutal and decisive that they just couldn't do anything about it.

I've seen differeing reports on just how much different his leg lengths are now, usually less than this 1". Most folk's legs are a bit different in length anyway...

This really makes it all the more impressive. The peloton knew that he might try something, Landis knew that they knew, he did it anyway, and they still couldn't do anything about it!

Glad they didn't Me too. I also like that Floyd slyly used "coke" - It'll put the little snots at L'Equipe in a tizzy seeing as how all French journalists are fixated on the evils of American cultural hegemony (i.e., Coca-cola Imperialism).

Very true, he switched bikes in the middle of the ITT, didn't he? Memory fails me - was it Landis, or Hincapie, that started ~8" late as well?

55KM to go, leaders just crested the final climb (Cat 4). Saunier Duval is once again leading the chase. Gap is 3:09.

Not the first time this has happened to him.

Remember Jan rode for a different team back in 2003 after T-Mobile whacked him following his "discotheque" incident.

Looks like the breakaway group is getting a little playful.

Levi ans Isasi now have about :20 on the lead group. Pineau trying to break with them.

if they break into two distinct groups it may help the Peleton start reeling them in, or the few that break away from this group could stretch out for a little while.
