"Come get some!"
And here's his pic on Nifong's webpage. http://www.mikenifong.com/districtcourt.php
That's what was so ludicrous about Nifong's argument. The defense attorneys pointed out that all he had to do was call them if he wanted the addresses of their clients. And then Nifong goes off on that "lack of cooperation" lie.
Those players were cooperating until Nifong started attacking them in the media. That whole "Blue Wall of Silence" is nothing but yet another myth in this case.
No question that it was the info from the cards that he wanted. There never would have been a motion if the only thing at issue was the addresses. That was a red herring.
Just the tip of the iceberg???

Topless Bar Cash
Other N.C. elected officials who have received contributions from topless bar owners, according to campaign reports:
Gov. Mike Easley received $8,000 from David "Slim" Baucom, a Charlotte club owner, which Easley later returned, plus another $5,500 from Baucom's wife and son. Easley also received $4,000 from Jerry Reid, president of Pure Gold Franchises, a chain of six topless clubs in North and South Carolina. Reid's son, a vice president with the company, also gave Easley $4,000.
Mac McCorkle, a political adviser to Easley, said he was checking on the contributions from the Reids.
Attorney General Roy Cooper received $2,000 in 2003 from Reid.
Sen. Malcolm Graham, a Charlotte Democrat, was given $500 in 2004 by Baucom.
Sen. Vernon Malone, a Raleigh Democrat, got a $4,000 check from Baucom in May 2004, but waited so long to cash it that Baucom had switched banks and the check was no good, Baucom said. Reid gave Malone $2,000.

I heard that Nifong would have to say who he wanted as witnesses, and that he could only have the addresses of those players.
Neither the card swipe data nor the home addresses were ever a big deal. The big deal is what this reveals about Titus.
I would say he did not want to completely slapdown Nifong, but chose to split the baby. I would say we have yet another Durham judge fail another public test.
Except I was afraid he would give Nifong everything he wanted including the swipe data.
Judge Issues Split Decision In Duke Lacrosse Case

Judge Ken Titus decided that Durham District Attorney Mike Nifong can have the addresses of lacrosse players not charged in the case.

Sometimes you scare me!
"Only adresses of potential witnesses"
So he can't have everyone's address then?
I completely agree with Titus' decision. I didn't like Titus' demeanor in the courtroom and I think Titus should have sanctioned Nifong for his sleazy comments, but his decision was right on the money.
That's how I read it. How can one be a potential witness if Nifong doesn't even know if they attended the party? LOL
Moi? ;)
They are all potential witnesses. Potential is the keyword here.
That's funny. I happened to be searching for alumni who went to Hillside High and stumbled upon Couch and his myspapce page. It was abb who put legs on the story and has been instrumental in getting it out there.
This is a group effort to find out what's going on in Durham. That's what makes FR so great.
Could one be a potential witness if they were out of town?
In Nifongs world they could be...
Do you have a link or source of the Hillside alumni?
It would be interesting to see if there are any other familiar names.
Chalmers is one.
... with an f or ph? LOL
