Would anyone else like to see some "remodeling" of this site?
Posted on 07/10/2006 8:07:58 PM PDT by Arcy
The one thing I would like to see is a more "graphical" representation of who is replying to who. It's rather laborious to try and follow this in the threads the way the site is currently set up.

How about animated avatars that can jump out of their frames and go beat the snot out of the other avatars? That would be way cool.

"Of course, it would be intended for Macs. "
Yeah but not for long. Even Apple is trying to sell Macs by claiming to run Windows.

No. When you take all your medicine, you, like all ADD sufferers will see that not everything needs pictures to hold your attention.

Hows that for graphical presentation? :D
To: JennysCool
It's already available. Just put a sign above your monitor that says "Friends Don't Let Friends Post Drunk."
ROFLMAO!!

This site is easy to use; n00b. If you don't like it here.....LEAVE! You're a real charmer, aren't you.

The only change I would like to see is the ability for the poster to self edit posts and to delete there own posts if necessary. Nope I did want that feature at one time, but now understand the reason for making them non editable...

Yes, actually I am a "real charmer" and didn't your mother ever tell you how rude it was to roll your eyes, in disagreement; dear? :-)
To: Arcy
I would love an 'ignore' feature.
To: Arcy
I'd like to see a "self edit" feature. No matter how hard you try, booboos happen.

No.
To: and by: works great.
I appreciate the tagline feature. Avatars would just be distracting and clutter things up.

On the newbie scale, this one isn't so bad. I like the self editing feature myself. The term "noob" however sets my teeth on edge, and makes me want to behave badly.

Yeah but not for long. Even Apple is trying to sell Macs by claiming to run Windows. Apparently, the new Intel-based Macs do a great job running Windows. But Mac OS X is will continue to be the primary operating system on Mac hardware.
Window compatibility on Macs is intended for occasional use, or for users who wish to make a gradual transition to Mac OS X. Windows user who don't wish to use Mac OS X at all should get a Dell or some other PC clone.

Are you saying you want the option between the chronological organization of thread comments and the hierarchical organization of thread comments? Having an option so that the "Show replies" button could indicate when decendent posts have replies could be useful. When reading a whole thread, such indications may add clutter, but when trying to determine whether it's worth adding a post, such indications could be helpful.
