I was in Myrtle Beach on Monday and drove right by the place, but had no idea of the band's connection. I thought it was just another club.

I was there for the grand opening. The family is here in Myrtle Beach on vacation and happened to be at the place where the Kiss coffeehouse is located. Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley were signing everything from album covers to women's thighs (it was a family atmosphere so presumably no naughty bits were autographed). At 11pm there was still quite a line. We watched for a bit through the front window. There was at least one person outside dressed up in Kiss gear and makeup who was posing for pictures with fans. It was a bit of a surreal scene.

We head back home on Saturday to the Ithaca area. Don't know which highways might still be closed then from all the flooding. Best wishes to all in the Twin Tiers and other areas affected.

Fyi from another link:
"Every army needs food and drink and the KISS Army is no exception!" said Gene Simmons. "Even the non-enlisted will find our treats and java rockin' good!"
And actual enlisted men will not be forgotten, either, as the band plans to ship 1,000 bags of KISS Army Blend coffee to the US Armed Forces in Iraq in conjunction with the cafe's grand opening.

They need a super strong blend with 200% more caffeine and call it "Mr. Speed".

"I'm so fast, that's why the ladies call me Mr. Speed."

I'm a coffee freak. I hope at some point they sell it by the bag like Starbucks- I'd love to try it.

KISS threads come about once a year. They are great fun.

I saw KISS live in 1977 in B'ham, AL. My ears are still ringing.
