Blargh.
The only cure for that is to listen to all your own CDs when you get home, or smack the dolt who controls the radio.

I definitely recommend the tour of the Condon mansion. It is interesting to see and if you know the history it really makes it fun.

Condon made a fortune in the early 1900's in the iron range(or maybe it was lumber). Can't remember which right now.

Around 1905? he built a mansion on the shore of Lake Superior just north of Duluth. It cost him $5 million at the time. A very elaborate compound.

During the 80's (I Think) one of the male heirs flipped out and murdered some other members of the family living there. After the trial, the property wound up in the hands of the city of Duluth.

My aunt is an occasional volunteer guide there so I have been on a personal tour. She points out the beds where 2 had been and the spot on the stair case that they found the other stabbed to death.

Besides the murder/mystery aspect, it is truly amazing how the place is designed and operated.

I highly recommend a visit. :0)

Well, I might get fired for that, so...

"Tell me what we got, tell me it's a lot, tell me it's the reeeaaal thing..."

"NOOOOO NO. NOOOO NOOO NOOOO NOOOO/
I said NOOOO NOOOO/
You're not the one for me..."

Day after day after day.

"He's wearing that dumb Power Rangers mask/
But he's scarier without it on..."

Love that line.

Now that you mention it is north of Duluth . . . I think I may have seen signs for that place when I drove down from Thunder Bay to Duluth. I'll keep this in mind the next time I'm out there.

At least it's not Olivia Newton John's "Please, Mister Please" or "Have You Never Been Mellow" at 2:00am!

What's worse is John Denver's "Sunshine On My Shoulders."

Funny funny.

In between your Weir Al offerings, I have been listening to The Black Eyed Peas and the Ramones. Now, I just need some bagpipe music from my collection to round-out the evening...

There was one day that Whitney Houston's "The Greatest Love of All" played three times, and by the third time I wanted to pull my hair out. I leaned on the counter with my head in my hands so thankful it was ending.

Then it played again.

Just the info that's out there already - Sandman, Venom are in it. Gwen Stacy & Captain Stacy are in it. He is supposed to wear a black & white version of his suit in the movie, too.

There will be a teaser for it running with 'Superman Returns' and I read what purports to be a shot by shot description of it, and it features Sandman in action, as well as maybe a new Green Goblin, but nobody can verify it so wait until wednesday the 28th to be sure.

LOL, I don't remember why, but my whole Elementary School had to sing that song when I was in the first grade. I remember us practicing for months.

Under similar circumstances, I learned to loathe Jimmy Buffett. I work as an intern in a museum a few years ago. One of the other interns was a ****ing Parrot Head and played his "greatest hits" several times per day...every damned day. Sometimes, she would play her favourite song, "Get Drunk and Screw", over and over again. I flipping hate Jimmy Buffett; the buggar should die a slow miserable death by listening to Yoko Ono sing Wagner's "Ring Cycle" while his knees are sawn off with a rusty hacksaw (his legs, or course shall be dipped in lemon juice).

Yeah, Sandman is played by Thomas Hayden Church and Venom is played by Topher Grace.

I've been looking forward to "Superman" for a while now so that's added excitement as far as I'm concerned.

It's one of those experiences you will remember. I know it did for me. I'm not a Minnesota person, having spent most my life in the West.

Let me know ahead of time and I might be able to arrange a personal tour from my aunt. She's loaded with historical knowledge.
