Corsi files FOIA request to expose plans for 'North American union'
World Net Daily ^ | June 20th, 2006 | World Net daily

Author Jerome Corsi filed a Freedom of Information Act request yesterday asking for full disclosure of the activities of an office implementing a trilateral agreement with Mexico and Canada that apparently could lead to a North American union, despite having no authorization from Congress.

Corsi specifically has requested the partnership's membership lists, constitutive documents, meeting minutes, meeting agendas and meeting schedules as well as all findings, reports, presentations or memoranda.

He also wants all comments to representatives of the "Prosperity Working Groups" or other working groups, committees or task forces associated with the partnership along with internal and external interagency or intra-agency memoranda of understanding, letters of intent, agreements, initiatives and budgeting documents.

The purpose of the FOIA, he said, is to get the "full facts exposed in the light of day, available for the American people and for Congress to examine and decide."

Rep. Tom Tancredo, R-Colo., is demanding the Bush administration fully disclose the activities of the SPP office.

"I'm going to go with the "wait and see" crowd. The SPP is a "concern", but as of yet it hasn't proven itself to be a "danger". And it may actually be beneficial. Only way to find out is to see what they come up with."

EXACTLY

Fortunately for us, most conservatives arent like you guys.

The 'Status Quo' crowd will be the most surprised when this thing raises it's ugly head. While people who seek to head off this travesty do the research, the rest giggle insanely with their self-assuradness and blind loyalty.

It looks as if the borders that they are more intent on defending - probably for national security reasons - are the outer borders of all of North America.

Another consideration regarding national security concerns is that we get most of our oil from Canada and Mexico.

Bush has had a real mess dumped in his lap since he became president, and there are no "good" or "easy" options / solutions for him.

I do know that his #1 priority every day is his "duty" to protect the American people. That would NOT be the case with a RAT president.

A deal like this needs to be open from the gitgo. It should be discussed as it is drafted, not as a done deal.
Every detail should be open to scrutiny, and discussion.
You can bet that the planners are assuming the final product will go through, and they should not be allowed to feel that confident.

How were we supposed to know the G8 was calling all the shots when the CFR, OAS, and WTO were running interference?

Corsi and the other wackjobs have twisted this whole concept into something it is not.

Even if one is willing to give him the benefit of the doubt, it's tough to explain his certainty that this conspiracy exists while (by filing his FOIA request) all but admitting he doesn't have the whole story.

The whole idea that President Bush is somehow negotiating the end of this country in secret and that he even has the power to implement such a harebrained scheme is beyond ridiculous.

It could not possibly happen.

Yet we have had a least a dozen threads here recently suggesting that this is precisely what's going on, and a bunch of idiots here are actually buying into it.

This is an IQ test.

This is an IQ test.

LOL . . . more like a DNC effort, in concert with some useful idiots, to cull our herd during an Election Year.

Sovereignty!

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

Interestingly enough, Jerome Corsi is FReeper jrlc. He stopped posting in August, 2004.

He's got a bunch of FRiends, though, posting his every WND piece on this.

Whatever you want to say about him, he isn't stupid. He's doing a fine job of marketing himself.

I'm not sure the nutbags buying this story have voted Republican in recent memory.

They're more into the spooky music candidates.

I agree completely. It will be interesting to see how his book fares. Making the FOIA request now, instead of during the buzz of the last couple of weeks, or even earlier as he was ostensibly researching his book is a stroke of genius.

FOIA requests take forever to adjudicate. If he's looking for that material for his book, the publication date is somewhere around 2018.

If, on the other hand, he doesn't want to bother with the FOIA material and merely engage in fact-free fear-mongering, then this is perfectly timed.
