"Wow! That was a good half!"

Very good half, especially for the US.
In fact the US has played better than the than the Italians in this half.
Incredibly, the US now stand every chance of winning this match..if we play as well in the second half.
 No bad at all.

I think that's the Kos guy.

But the crowd in Kaiserslautern is definately pro-US, who woulda thunk it playing a European team in Europe?

K-Town (which is US army slang for Kaiserslautern) is home turf for the US team. And believe it or not: The towns around Ramstein airbase are quite pro-US (Well they know that the Americans are good neighbors and spend quite some money there.).

Exactly the same thought I had when watching the red card being pulled out on Italy....USA is next on a minor foul.

Great first half, though.

Go USA...

10 vs 10 will change the complextion of the game a lot.
Sorry to say, it favors the Italians style of play.
US is trying the longer passes, the through balls, etc. Italy is playing more of a triangle game like Gahana did.
Still a good game so far.
Just keep Beasley on the bench, please. Bring in Johnson.

Stupid make up red card on USA. The ref wants to be PC.
Hey Ref....it's not about you!

I am every bit as surprised as you are, especially since we are playing in a not very friendly to America, Germany.
 Very nice surprise.

 Cool.

Pope is playing rather aggresively. The trick is to do it without tipping off that itchy trigger finger ref. But Im pleased with the first half. Italy is playing flat-lets hope theystay that way. My allegiance to the Azzuri went out the window when they showed the replay of the foul that got the Italian player booted..
