That was the case with me for Star Wars which I first saw when I was 10 years old. It was my favoritest movie for years and years. Then when the new Star Wars movie came out in 99, I saw the original again, and thought it had the WORST acting imaginable and the most horrible one-liners I've ever seen. I still love the movie, but it's not nearly the same as it was for me in 1977.

Remember when they had to finally digitize the film and clean it up because the "boxes" were showing up around the tie and x-wing fighters?

Time I turned in or I will not be up in time to get shopping done before the footie comes on, as least the US game is later in the evening for me.

Yeah, the boxes were a little glaring. Maybe it was the force?

I'm able to appreciate this movie, though, because it is DEFINITELY a classic example of a movie that is so bad, it's good.

The acting is about as bad as acting can get. It's so funny...all the characters wear these ridiculous one-piece 70s-style space suits. And carry ray guns that look like plastic toys.

And none of them says anything worth quoting.

But surprisingly, the special effects are pretty good for a B-grade movie of this ilk. The dinosaurs are stop-motion.

I dont recall the boxes. I have the early tapes, must see them again & watch. As I am ADDH & a big picture/rather than detail person, these things are often lost on me.

Ever see the web site: movie mistakes?

I rarely note any.
