Lawyer Alex Charns unleashed a second salvo this week in what he calls his "poster war," demanding a public police apology for a March placard that sought help in solving the Duke University lacrosse rape case.
Charns, representing one of the unindicted players, also reiterated an earlier request that the Durham Police Department launch an internal investigation into the situation.
Police spokeswoman Kammie Michael said the department had no immediate comment.
According to Charns, the poster libeled 46 lacrosse players before the district attorney acknowledged he had sufficient evidence to prosecute only three for the alleged rape of an exotic dancer during an off-campus party at 610 N. Buchanan Blvd. in mid-March.
The poster said the accuser "was sodomized, raped, assaulted and robbed. This horrific crime sent shock waves throughout our community."

Okay- Now I get it ;>)
Alameda county? That's here in California. I don't think that will help you in NC. LOL!!
What? No reciprocity??? LOL
Good to see you back in action, Howlin.
Hope you are doing okay.
Yes, you sure did and how right you were!
OOPs.
I am sure glad my son recently moved out of Durham. At least his tax money won't be going to that cesspool of corruption and deceit.
Everytime I go outside I find three wild Dachshunds in my backyard, and then when I go inside there they are as well.
Maybe the voters of Durham should rename the city and call it Gooberville.
Everytime I go inside or Outside there are three golden retrievers. LOL!
At least yours might scare a mountain lion, the only thing mine can scare are birds and moles.
The whole concept of mountain lions scares me...we had one that killed 14 goats on two nights, about a half of a mile from here. By the way I have bears as well.....It's deer baby season, but haven't seen any yet.
Goldens are beautiful, but not great protectors.
You are right about goldens. Dachshunds on the other hand can be very protective and pound for pound are probably the strongest dogs alive. If they got a big as a golden they would be virtually uncontrolable by a man.
The joke amongst us golden people is that a golden may bark when the bad guy comes to the door...but once inside, the golden will show them where all the good stuff is.
We had a lab who lived to the ripe old age of 15. He was very protective if a stranger came into the garage (his domain), otherwise all anyone would get was a big yawn.
He had an iron constitution. He would chase rocks but had no use for balls. Oh yeah, except for the 4 golf balls we watched him pass one day as pretty as you please. He then went on his merry way while my husband and I looked at each other and said "Holy Sh!T".
He was one of a kind, it has been 10 years since he went to the great beyond and we have not been able to think of getting another one.
Had a Golden years ago. He once managed to eat a whole bar of Nutragena soap. Other than vomiting up foam, and some diarrhea, he was fine.
Yep, you did.
There are 46 players, and each of them was vilified. That could make for a hefty tab on the city coffers.
