Lawyer Alex Charns unleashed a second salvo this week in what he calls his "poster war," demanding a public police apology for a March placard that sought help in solving the Duke University lacrosse rape case.
Charns, representing one of the unindicted players, also reiterated an earlier request that the Durham Police Department launch an internal investigation into the situation.
Police spokeswoman Kammie Michael said the department had no immediate comment.
According to Charns, the poster libeled 46 lacrosse players before the district attorney acknowledged he had sufficient evidence to prosecute only three for the alleged rape of an exotic dancer during an off-campus party at 610 N. Buchanan Blvd. in mid-March.
The poster said the accuser "was sodomized, raped, assaulted and robbed. This horrific crime sent shock waves throughout our community."

If they were my boys, I'd feel the need to fight this all the way through, now, to get a complete exoneration.
I wouldn't wish this nightmare on anyone, but once in it, I'd want to go all the way through it!
Talk about a wake-up call. How many students are risking their futures because of politics in the towns where their potential univeristies are located???

Remember when Johnny Cockroach brought in the Nation of Islam members in their bowties......standing there in the Courtroom. Sending a message to the jurors.
There will never be a trial in Durham, and likely not one elsewhere.
If there was that much blatant intimidation of the jury, isn't that appealable?
I get your point that in these circumstances, common sense and truth may not count for much, but still....

That's why I'll need the lazy boy, to watch this unfold in the fall.
And to watch the landscaping process thanks to the Bobcat. ;-)

Just read on Drudge that a small earthquake just hit North Carolina -- you don't think my comments about standing before the Lord with this lousy injustice of a case -- no, surely not. :-)
Howlin:
I will surely rot in hell for saying this, but they are
GONE!!

Interesting; I didn't know that, OldFriend.
There is no hope for justice with the cast of characters involved behind the scenes.
Much too much at stake. I suspect even the girl's family is intimidated by certain race hustlers.
My sister-in-law is in Cary. Not too far, right. I'll hang with y'all and be happy to do the dishes. Anybody want to watch my 2 year old? Mr. RecallMoran can be the designated driver (again).
Cool!! I'll hire the strippers and buy the keg.
Yup, saw it earlier in the day.
You better read through this thread, buddy, because some of the jobs have already been taken. LOL! :>)
Howlin said we have to work!
Oh yeah- I forgot to add that I get to be bus Mom. I have prior experience.
Are you bringing the badges with you?
:-)
Until we move to stop black on white crime we are going to have this kind of treatment increasingly.
Only the hispanics may not turn the other cheek.
Forgot to say---we might need them to protect our jobs.
