I want to echo that sentiment and say thanks guys for another glorious day.
It's been fun. Who's in for matches tomorrow on my 106" HD screen.
This tournament is about to boil over. Funky, funky, I am a junkie. :)
Ditto.
Much appreciated.
Cheers.
:-)
Australia won their last encounter.
BTW. I think Brazil will win, but I think the Aussies have a chance to at least manage a draw with some luck, and some true blue Aussie grit.
Norway beat Brazil in 98 in group play.
It could happen.
We will find out on sunday.
Is this the same Aussie team that went down to Tunisia?
Anyway, I'm with the Aussies for their spirit.
You have to love them for it and their development.
Ever worse, France beat them in the final that year. Anyone who loses to the cheese-eating surrender monkeys...
USA Today Analysis of USA v Italy
This is a pretty sobering assessment of our chances:

Can you take me off this ping list?
Thanks
Run down:
Defense - Italy
Midfield - Italy
Forward - Italy
Goalkeeper - Tie
Interesting analysis, Italy has some sharp talent.
If the US win against Italy, it would be viewed in the soccer world as akin to Dallas Mavericks getting beaten by Dallas Storm (amateur basketball team).
That's not the right comparison at all. It would be more like Arsenal losing to a lower tier team in the Premiership or Division 1.
Team USA has not been an amateur team since 1990.
It has players playing in Europe professionally and a young pro league here.
Good point. It's a shame that I can't stand that old bag Thatcher!
"do I cheer them on to show that CONCACAF is an up-and-coming region?"
I will cheer for ANY CONCACAF team except for Mexico. They are dirty players who have even worse fans. Throwing a bag of piss at U.S players and chanting Osama bin laden at matches goes far beyond nationalistic pride. It illustrates how degenerate their (soccer) culture really is.
I don't have to tell you how happy I was to see Angola tie them yesterday.

Should you go one day take extra money to grease the check points, they will take it all if you present it all... so carry small bills and hide some in your skivvvies, socks, tape some under you arm pit(shave) and maybe hide some in the lining of your clothing.
What is amazing is lately I've been ripping on Mexicans and Salvadorians - I tell them that their countries have nothing to offer them. They give me a hapless stare as if they know I'm speaking truth to them and then they reply "It's only a corrupt few in politics that has our countries like that".
Disgraceful....
