I'm a big Microsoft geek, but they say that with ever release. Maybe it will be--who knows. I went to the product relase of Windows 95 and I remember Bill Gates talking about the ability to multitask. (Yeah right.)

The mainstream media does not want you to know about Linux. They had a story the other day on Fox News' "Studio B" show, with Shep talking to some computer know-it-all about security risks in Windows, and NOT ONCE did they talk about alternative operating systems...they didn't mention that you have other options such as Mac OS X or Linux.

Like I've said before...money talk$, and bull$h!t walks. Even Fox News is now MSM.

Well, if it won't boot then nobody will ever hack it so I suppose they are correct....

I ran across Linus back in 1991 and we could see he was on to something. Linux was pretty cool from the beginning. It just gets better and better and I've never had a Linux box fail due to the OS. I recall we had one Slackware machine with external DPT drives that was under load most of the time. The only reason we shut it down was to move it and at that time it had an uptime of about 3 years.

Right now I'm using xandros on one of my decktops and it's pretty cool.

It's going to be very secure where I work, because I have no intention of ever installing that piece of garbage on any of our systems.

Statements like 'X is the most secure OS ever' are best left to Internet discussion threads and not by company execs who will have to backpedal pretty hard if vista gets hit in the first few months after release..
