I am sick to death of ...finding...that I, and those who think like me, have been wasting our time for the past twenty, thirty, forty years, working on superhero comics. None of the lessons we have tried to teach have sunk in. Superman can desert the Earth. Lois can have a bastard kid. Doesn't matter. Just make it fast and loud and shiny. Well alright now. Get down with your bad self, John.

Several fan sites have speculated that director Singer, a well-known gay rights activist, cast his new Superman, with an unknown closeted gay actor in order to have the actor "come out" during publicity for the film, to provide gay children with a role model. Not the Superman I remember.
All superheroes of the past are now gay? Oh that will play...
Another film fiasco that will sink like a stone...
They couldn't pay me enough to go see this pervert crap.

I'm sorry, but I don't see how this movie could be any better than Smallville. Smallville has great writing, great acting, great special effects... and no agenda. It's just good television.
If you really want to get your Superman fix, why waste your time (and money) with this other crap?

Xmen 2 got too ham-handed on the "coming out of the closet" thing for me, and Ian McKellen is running around flaming all over the place, so I gave a pass on Xmen 3, and decided to do the same for Superman after I saw the retro-gay way they redid his costume.
I'll pass on Singer's films, and stick to Pixar for a while. Singer and McKellen both talked about Xmen being a homosexual parable, and now that he's had success, I expect him to get more blatant with each "outing."
