I live in Upstate New York. Every year it snows. Every year there is panic as if it hadn't happened before. Every year it goes away and it turns to spring.
My friends live in Florida. They complain about the heat all year long, the lack of rain and the pending hurricanes. Ah, destiny!!

It's no different in Indiana...Every year we get storms in May/June, and at least one snow storm in the winter...Yet the local media goes into a frenzy and acts like the sky is falling.

"I live in Upstate New York. Every year it snows. Every year there is panic as if it hadn't happened before. Every year it goes away and it turns to spring." When I was a kid we had Snowstorms and Thunderstorms. Now we have:
SEVERE WEATHER
Replete with break-in news bulletins and on site live coverage.
Its like disaster is always just looming over the horizon as far as local weather reporting goes.
