"I live in Upstate New York. Every year it snows. Every year there is panic as if it hadn't happened before. Every year it goes away and it turns to spring." When I was a kid we had Snowstorms and Thunderstorms. Now we have:
SEVERE WEATHER
Replete with break-in news bulletins and on site live coverage.
Its like disaster is always just looming over the horizon as far as local weather reporting goes.

Don't forget that "LIVE DOPPLER RADAR" that is supposed to be the greatest thing since sliced bread! Love when we get a little rain or snow and the news opens with the weather report - live late-breaking weather! Gosh, like we don't know what rain or snow is!
