Hello fellow freepers. First, I apologize for the vanity but I need a bit of help. My church just purchased a computer and a projector to use during our worship services. We had man come down and hook everything up, install all the software etc. and everything worked fine. Now we can,t get the projector to project. Everything with the computer, programs and all the connections is fine but for some reason we just can't figure out how to get the projector to turn on. Is there a setting that needs to be changed in the computer in order for the powerpoint images to be displayed through the projector(or even to be turned on period)?
I appreciate any help you all can give. And please, I know a little bit about computers but I am very tech savy so a run down in the "powerpoint for dummies" format would be much appreciated.
Thanks and God bless--

"It won't work when the button is on the O-F-F position! What shall I do?"
I have, too - that's why I asked, lol! Good luck!
Lenscap?
You didn't answer my questions about the system setup.
Two adapters, or just one?
Two cables, or just one?
Is your desktop display functioning properly while the projector does not, or do you have no display at all?
Sorry, didn't mean to ignore you. I have no idea how many cables or adapters. I only know they used an s-cable. We are just going to have to have someone come out and look at it again. I wasn't there when all this was hooked up. This time, I guess I will need to make sure I am there to see what is going on.
By the way, I was told that there was no display but when we were trying some of the things suggested on this thread the camera came on and displayed a blue screen with the projectors brand logo displayed. I guess that is good news lol.
I am not very computer literate but I can usually figure things out given enough time. This is just so frustrating. I love computers but sometimes I just wanna take the thing out in the parking lot and run over it a few times.
