The Dragonflies' Lair~Thread XXVIII~

My Dragon Fly and Me

If I could be a Dragon Fly
and wing my way through the sky
I would never be shy
just me and my Dragon Fly!

By moonlight we ride the wind
chase the comets tail for fun
by day we would hide from the sun
our fragile wings would come undone

On darkest nights we would use
fireflies as our guide
we would dip and we would glide
through the heavens open wide
and scatter diamonds in the night sky
my Dragon Fly and me...

And we would wing past our lovers
silent in the night...
to kiss their face in our flight
much to their surprise and delight
my Dragon Fly and me in sight...

Such a view do we share
away up here in the air
of breezes soft through our hair
my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

Yes, we do.

We have literally a sunny day (which is a blessing this time of year).

Yesterday I went to see my sister and on my way back I stopped by the apartment where I stayed when I was taking care of her.
The doorman had this very nice surprise for me.
You see, he kept my mail (safe, he says ..hehe).

LOL no wonder my neck was aching this morning. I must remember not to do that again.

How's Jewels this Monday??

I am about ready to move to a state with hot dry weather, I am creaking like a squeaky hinge.

Just as I decided to stay here on retiring, we had 40 days and nights of rain.

Getting stronger and still pushing too hard, I'm in a world of hurt today. But the yard looks a lot better and I'll benefit from the exercise.

How about you? Home a few days with your new bathroom. Having a good time of it?

Second day of sun here, cloudy but with sun. I keep missing the local radio and TV weather today, but yesterday they said we'd have a mostly dry week.

I, too, am paying dearly for all efforts of work.

Back is very swollen and makes every step very painful. I could take a very hot shower for some relief.

Bathroom is nice although not decorated as I wish it to be.

Besides a hot shower, do you do anything else for that back?

I have meds to reduce swelling, however they knock me out. Also, I have an arthritis med which I take daily. I am better off with it than without it. I have tried both ways.

Is it arthritis or an injury? Usually exercise is beneficial. What does your doctor say? Is there a Y with a pool convenient to you?

40 years ago I cracked a lower vertebra and have been working on it ever since. Nothing works better than the right exercise. The waterbed was the first thing that help reduce the back pain, then learning how to deal with arthritis & injuries helped worked wonders. Sure, they still act up, but less often and generally with less severity.

MDs gave me a stockpile of heavy duty pain meds (kidney stones, etc) and I never take them. With them, you can't tell what's going on with a kidney stone. But, sometimes, with problems like arthritis, one should take the knock-out pill because sometimes it absolutely needs resting.

Is it arthritis or an injury? It's both. I have two discs gone in the lower back. Arthritis causes the swelling. I rested for a long time this afternoon doing better now. We do have a y here with a huge pool, my problem transportation.

Inner Child test.

bentfeather's results.

Your Inner Child Is Sad

You're a very sensitive soul. You haven't grown that thick skin that most adults have. Easily hurt, you tend to retreat to your comfort zone. You don't let many people in - unless you've trusted them for a long time.

How Is You Inner Child?

Good afternoon Miss Feather....Can your inner child come out & play with mine????:)

Your Inner Child Is Surprised
You see many things through the eyes of a child.
Meaning, you're rarely cynical or jaded.
You cherish all of the details in life.
Easily fascinated, you enjoy experiencing new things.

You have the vision, patience, and skill to bring your unique visions to canvas.
And you're even tempered enough not to cut your ear off in the process!
