One of the most fancied teams in Germany, England will open their FIFA World Cup campaign against Group B rivals Paraguay today -- LIVE NOW on ABC: England v Paraguay
Wayne Bridge can play right back no? Or is he a left back?
I think he is on the left.
Not a bad half but I think having big Crouch up front is encouraging England to play the long ball too much. So Owen isn't getting involved. Some of the crosses into the box have been overhit too.
I still think we can beat them 3 or 4-0.
Beckham's kicks and passes are razor sharp.
Same old Sven - sitting on a 1-0 lead and playing long ball. So much for tactics. Robbo looks a bit skittish out there.
Hopefully we will see a better second half.
COME ON ENGLAND - bend them to your will! Load the box up and drive them crazy!
Ya think Sven is going to give Rooney a 15-20 minute run-out at the end, or not risk it?
No chance - Fergie would invade Germany. Assuming a win for ENG today Rooney won't be needed until Jun 20 for Sweden.
You are right though, they probably won't play him, but he needs some match fitness, or he will be really flat against Sweden.
Swedish commentators were also speculating about a run-out for Rooney if England has a secure lead.
I dont think it would happen though.
First of all England needs to pick up its game :-)
Owen off, Downing in.
Downey for Owen. England is basically saying they don't feel like scoring any more.
Not happy with the English game at the moment.
Come on....
Soccer is for kids who can't hit the ball!
Not a bad idea to replace him with a midfielder though so we can get a stranglehold on possession.
England needs another goal. Then they can start worrying about killing the clock.
Thank you. Your sport sucks worse. It's boring slow, with way too many timeouts, people scratching their butts.
Very silly yellow for dissent. That is so retarded.
