One of the most fancied teams in Germany, England will open their FIFA World Cup campaign against Group B rivals Paraguay today -- LIVE NOW on ABC: England v Paraguay
T&T are about a 23 to 1 underdog on TradeSports. Think Id need higher odds to take T&T. :)
Thanks for the ping.
I (as an England fan) am really now very worried that we didnt take Jermain Defoe or indeed any other goal poaching striker. If Michael Owen gets injured (and hes not looking that sharp) we are completely screwed.
At least we won.
Good start by the Swedes. :-(
T&T is piling so many players in the back that they can't do anything in the midfield when they get the ball.
I missed the England match, misread the schedule, thought it would be on at 9 am my time.
Then, I find my local ABC affiliate screwed up their HD signal.
Not a good day....
Yup. If they dont advance to the next round, he might as well apply for asylum.
A tie would be a major upset.
Yeah, hopefully they won't pull an Andres Escobar on him.
That commentary your posted is typically English -- a mediocre result is given as evidence that there's no real hope to win it all. If they had thrashed Paraguay 4-0 then England would be ready to destroy Brazil.
It's very early. Remember Argentina and France didn't go through last time. (I went through Charles de Gaulle Airport the day after the final loss to Denmark -- you'd have thought the Eiffel Tower fell). The gap between top and bottom is not what it once was.
Euro 2004 should have shown to all that even the weak sisters have a chance. For example, Yorke & John aren't exactly at the level of Henry or Shevchenko, but that doesn't mean they can't score and win a match.
My signal in Cincinnati was screwed. I suspect it's the network that messed up.
I think we'll beat Trinidad and Sweden to finish first in the group and that will ensure an easy second round match against Ecuador.
A win is a win!
He plays for Arsenal.
That says it all. Sick of those Arsenal wankers and their French manager and players. If they hadn't poisoned the food so Spurs got sick on the last day of the season those high-priced French mercenaries would be out of the Champions League next year.
I wanna see Theo Walcott!
Right on! :-)
That was an interisting first half. Love it when a team like T & T play with heart. That is what this game is all about.
Signal's been fine for me. Heck of game from Trinidad!
English Flashback!
Hey! It's more exciting than the current match!
