DU: "Zarqawi Dead, Yet People Here Upset - The last straw for me..."
DU

From DU:

Zarqawi Dead, Yet People Here Upset - The last straw for me...

Unbelievable. Really, this is the last straw for me. People here always whine about why the progressive agenda can't make headway. They complain about dirty tricks and stolen elections, but don't stop for a second to think that they've begun to intertwine their good progressive ideas with the most paranoid, conspiratorial and hateful BS.

I came to this board to find some refuge from that, but honestly don't see anything different than what the RW wackjobs do. Here, we have a case of our troops - in spite of their f---head leader - killing a man whose so-called resistence has amounted to nothing more than killing innocents - students, children, women, not to mention killing our troops, and so many of the posts here find a way to mitigate that? Why?

Why claim that he's an American stooge? To stick it to Bush? Why claim he never really existed? To stick it to Bush? Why claim that he wasn't at all important? Just to stick it to Bush?

I've seen ever piece of news about him twisted to make today look like a failure, rather than an accomplishment. According to even some, killing him was a bad thing, because it will make insurgents even angrier. The logic of that is insane.

Or people point to the fact that "number 2" men have been killed before, or he was on the outs with the Sunni insurgency, yet they fail to mention that he was primilary responsible for co-ordinating the foreign fighters and was figure-head and general who will be sorely missed by his band of murderers.

Instead, we get spin, spin, spin from people here, that would do O'Reilly proud. For the sake of what? Politics? Certainly, fixing Bush's mistakes are what everyone should be focussed on. But on this board that cause has become inexplicably joined with the notion everything that occurs under this administration - everything - should not be supported. That's what leads dems to make racist stands against Dubai ports or to find pessimissim when a mass murderer is himself killed. Is today a great day? I don't know. I don't know if it's even a good day for Iraq in the long-term. But it certainly isn't a bad day.

If you haven't gotten it already, I'm done with this board. I haven't posted a lot, so no one will miss me. But the one thing of which I can be certain, which this board has taught me - the road to sane leadership in America won't be through DU or through Free Republic, but through common sense - something sorely lacking here.

I'm sure I'll receive a thousand nasty responses to this post from all the shrill people here who would rather pull their own hair out than consider the substance of what I said. In any case, as I can no longer participate on this board, I would invite a moderator to pull the plug on my ID.

Good luck with your board.

"According to even some, killing him was a bad thing, because it will make insurgents even angrier. The logic of that is insane."

No, the logic of that is typically Liberal. Cowards to the last.

Never visited any DU threads, and have no intention of doing so, as there's enough worldly education to be had right here on FR...

I would invite a moderator to pull the plug on my ID.

The poster can rest assured that the DUmmie Land "moderators" will accept that invitation.

To Utopia. Back home now. Problem is that BlogSpot is as SLOW as mollasses right now. Plus when I finally did get into the Blogger Dashboard it looks like a kindergarten version of the usual dashboard. What goes on there? I can't DUFU until they resolve these problems.

Skinner is busy running damage control over there now.
The tone has shifted quickly to one of moderation.
Theyre realizing that we're all watching and its getting to the media now.

I poked around there and it really is like Family Day at the insane asylum, total chaos and craziness. Their hatred for Bush goes up whenever his plans for killing terrorists pay off--that's really looney behavior.

Brad Odland has threatened, that's right...threatened conservatives by stating, "Hey conservatives...I am watching YOU" while he posted the following at DU:

http://journals.democraticunderground.com/LeftHander/7

There, he says, in reference to conservatives, "War is the goal." That's right, according to Mr. Odland, you conservatives started and perpetuate war.

Please email Brad Odland at bodland@sbcglobal.net and let him know your thoughts. Since he states, "I am watching YOU," please let him know we are watching him, too. He lives in Waukesha, Wisconsin, United States. One of his home sites is http://www.blogger.com/profile/3020080
