Muhammad and al-Zarqawi both died today.

According to Wikipedia, on today's date, June 8, in the year 632, the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon his name, of course), and of course Abu Musab al-Zarqawi died today.
Coincidence? I just sort of found it interesting.
I do not know if that June 8, 632 date is the Julian Calendar, or adjusted to the Gregorian Calendar, or whatever heck calendar you feel like using.
Comments?
In case anyone was wondering, I was being Stephen Colbert tongue in cheek about the whole peace be upon him stuff. You have to tiptoe a fine line when you're talking about that Muhammad guy.

Fitting. Coincidences are God's way of telling you that you need to pay attention.

Didn't Zarqawi actually die yesterday? June 7th.

A drug addicted pedophile and one of his followers die on the same day?
May they both rot in Hell!

One problem Abu Musab al-Zarqawi was actually killed yesterday June 7 but was not confirmed until today

Zarqawi actually died yesterday, June 7th.
And it would be a bad coincidence and bad for us if he had died the same day as Muhammed.

Maybe if youre thinking in terms of Eastern Daylight Savings Time, but in Iraqi Standard Middle of the Desert Time, it was already June 8.

Maybe if youre thinking in terms of Eastern Daylight Savings Time, but in Iraqi Standard Middle of the Desert Time, it was already June 8. Nope...
From the NYSlimes:
BAGHDAD, Iraq, June 8 Al Qaeda's leader in Iraq, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, was killed in an American air strike on an isolated safe house north of Baghdad at 6.15 p.m. local time on Wednesday [that would be the 7th], top United States and Iraqi officials said today.

Wikipedia has it fixed now.
Maybe Osama will get it the day before the anniversary of Arafat's death. That would be November 10.

By the way...if I count correctly, 6.15 p.m. local time in Baghdad is 10:15 am Eastern. So that means that it's been almost 24 hours since al-Zerkwhooie or however you spell it has been with his virgins.

Ok, now that I've royally screwed up the calendar, its time to hijack my own thread. Who wants to discuss the cricket?
