10. Fit to be "Tied" Tie Domi's on Ulf Samuelsson
9. Paul Wilson, meet Kyle Farnsworth
8. Case "Closs-ed": Keith Closs getting beaten down by his fellow revelers outside a club on La Cienega Boulevard in Los Angeles.
7. The other shoe falls--For sheer beatdown humiliation, nothing can top what Boston Bruins defenseman Mike Milbury did on Dec. 23, 1979 in Madison Square Garden.
6. Izzy a black belt?- On July 3, 2001, Red Sox minor leaguer Israel "Izzy" Alcantara conducted his own personal Six-Day War against Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
5. Unlucky Bucky- As if being a mascot weren't humiliating enough, you get beaten down by a male cheerleader. Rough.
4. The Iceman cometh, beateth down: In terms of an all-time UFC beatdown, Chuck "The Iceman" Liddell's destruction of Tito Ortiz may be the best evidence for those who decry the barbarity of the Octagon. Liddell's pummeling of Ortiz was a cautionary tale for what happens when a superior wrestler squares off with a striker and can't drag the fight down to the mat. After 38 brutal seconds of relentless strikes from Liddell, Ortiz found himself alone on the mat, victim of a merciless beatdown.
3. Diego Corrales, fists of fury: What Diego Corrales did in the 10th round of his May, 2005 lightweight title fight against Jose Luis Castillo is not only one of the great boxing beatdowns of all time, but one of the towering achievements in sports history.
2. (Ryan)Express beating: When a 26-year-old third baseman charges a 46-year-old pitcher and gets his head handed to him, well, this is a very, very special beatdown.
1. Iron Mike and the Spinks jinx- The 91-second beatdown that drove Spinks into an early retirement.

Nolan getting Ventura in a headlock and pounding him is a classic. I gotta go find that video online. I'll post a link.
Well, not a beatdown per se, but it is always worth remembering.
How informative! Especially numbers 5 and 7.
Parish finally had enough of Lambier's act and in the middle of a playoff game put him down with a karate whack in the face. He could have caved his face him if didn't pull the punch. This was done in Boston Garden in front of the ref who swallowed his whistle.
The Auburn-Bama game in 1972. They were winning 16-3 at the beginning of the fourth quarter. In the final minutes of the game we blocked two of their punts and scored twice. We won 17 - 16!
Punt, Bama, Punt!
Interest point for baseball fans
A couple:
Marvin Hagler Vs. Tommy Hearns. Hearns came out flying and cut Hagler early in the first round. Hagler managed to take over from there and proceeded to beat Hearns to a pulp.
My favorite was because I was there:
Lyndon Byers v. Wayne Van Dorp Boston Garden. Byers had beaten up Van Dorp twice already. In the 3rd period, at the face off circle, Van Dorp was jawing and smacking Byers stick but the commercial light was on. Byers just stared at the commercial light he was not going to waste this during a TV timeout.
As soon as the light went off, Byers dropped the gloves and his stick in one motion and hit Van Dorp square in the nose. Van Dorp just crumbled to the ice. Van Dorp refused to step back out onto the ice because the Boston Garden fans were just going nuts.
I saw the Hearns-Hagler fight on closed circuit at a theatre in New Bedford. Probably the best early round fight ever fought.
I agree. I have watched it over and over... love it each time. I am amazed that they didn't stop it early because of the cut that Hagler had.
Pedro Martinez vs. Zimmer?
Any Red Wings vs. Avalanche hockey game in the late 90s.
What about Pedro Martinez vs. the elderly Don Zimmer?
The 80s Philadelphia Flyers vs. the world!
