Good morning. We got a new Trak phone because we don't make many cell phone calls so that's cheapest for us and the things this phone does boggles my mind. I had to have my 13 year old niece, who had never seen my phone and didn't read the manual, show me how to use it.

Good morning, Chair. The democrat candidate for governor in California looks like that guy with the question marks suit who is always running ads about "free money from the government." I saw a humorous graphic about hiim yesterday, but I thought it was only in reference to the guy's spending habits.
I saw him this morning, and he really DOeS look like the question mark man!

I don't ever remember a Memorial Day like this one that just passed...it was one negative article after another from the MSM aimed at the military...the mask is off for sure.

I like simple.Me, too. When I was shopping for a new dishwasher, I saw models w/so many buttons that they might as well have been space ships equipped to go to the moon.
I only need 2 buttons...a hot/cold water and an on/off button.
Or try to find a cell phone that is only a phone to make and receive calls. Won't happen.

Tony Blankley has a column today that blasts the irresponsibility of the "drive-by media".

I have a cell phone and yet I wonder how did my mother's generation survive without them?
After we got PB..(our horse) I thought we needed one in case something happened to the horse or Sarah. Other than that...I have no need for one.

Good morning, Dog. On another thread, a poster said that every holiday that promotes patriotism or traditional values gets torn down. Every Christmas and Easter we get the stories about Da Vinci Code, Judas Gospel, Jesus really being a democrat, etc. etc. And every Memorial Day we are now going to get these types of stories.
The poster suggested we watch what stories come out around the Fourth of July, and anticipated that we would get another round of this, plus attacks on the Founding Fathers.
I thought this was a very good point, and I am going to keep my eyes peeled.

...God Save the Queen.
On second thought, that mentions a deity, can't have that either...

Excellent! Tony Blankley is always good reading.

In our overseas home, the phone we use has a rotary dial. We could switch it out for the new-fangled push button varieties. But the rotary works, why change?
When the youngest has friends was over and sometimes they need to call their mom. Invariably we're asked, "how do you use your phone?"

I told my wife that I want a phone that will allow me to play music, check my email and send emails, Freep, search the internet, serve as a GPS when I'm hiking, and plug into the cigarette lighter of my car and drive for me so I can do all these other things while I'm in the car.
It would be nice, in fact, if I could take the cell phone out of my pocket, press a button and it could transform into a nice big SUV when I've got to get the kids and a Porsche when I'm by myself.
Oh, and it's got to have a calculator.

Thomas Sowell also has an excellent column today and recommends a book that I plan to read....
