My observation is that some digestive tracks can handle extra acid & some cannot. I am fortunate to have a guy of steel. I have so very many friends that have such delicate systems that they are always having upsets.

For them the coke would be a problem. I can mix meds, eat & drink ANYTHING..

Now when we talk about orthopedics.. well, another story. Not blessed there!

Well, with the cost of a TBone, that would be a stupid experimetn wouldn't it. Same test would work with a small piece.

My sentence started a flood of memories for me as well. We had playing cards snap with the old and new money on them, called them snip snap. I think I still have a pack somewhere.

Didn't you go form the old monetary system to a decimal one back about 1971 or so. I'm a big junky on the Victorian/Edwardian age and I did stumble across that fact when they were discussing the British monetary system as it was back then compared to today. That also reminds me of a computer game, based on the old pen and paper role playing game, "Space 1889" where in an alternate world (I'm also an alternate history junky), Victorian UK along with other world powers were exploring the inner solar system in "Ether Ships." I can have my choice of tracking my character's money either by pennies or the old Victorian monetary system. One interesting bug in the game is if I overspend, the game gave me so much money, I'd make Bill Gates look like a pauper, if I could, I could build a Victorian version of the Death Star and have almost all of the money left over. B-)

Still, from what I hear, I still here the occasional usage of miles in the UK as well as the weight measure called "stone."

We are completely mixed up in England re weights and measures.

We buy a pint of milk or beer but a litre of petrol (gas) or wine.

All our road signs are in miles we have never shown them in metric. The speedometer in our cars show both but miles are the predominate one.

Most people of my age use imperial weights for cooking though all pre packaged stuff is sold in metric apart from milk.

Yes we went decimal in 1971. 100 pence to the pound and all that.

Weights:
16 oz = 1lb
14 1lb = 1 stone

Though officially weights of new born are now in kilos all mothers I know say the weight in pounds and ozs.

So we are a total mix up though younger people use more metric system until they grow up and then have to convert to miles etc.

Can't always make it on top of everything. Headlines just move too fast nowadays. Especially considering now that you're going to be only doing it once a week.
