Dumb ass for sure, if true. The Lacrosse team members may be under closer scrutiny than your average Durham citizen, and for very petty and spiteful reasons. This idiot should have realized this and kept his nose clean.

Some kids do not have any sense common or otherwise. He should be glad he is not my kid--his life would be a holy hell right now.

As if the DWI and the pot was not bad enough, the glass pipe makes it worse.

No high powered lawyer for him--he would be on his own.

On another front:
Good for Matt Zash, Dan Flannery and Kyle Dowd.

Ironic that it now sometimes seems that the once privileged White anglo-saxon protestant males are the new socially targeted minority of choice. Oh, well... societies have always needed a handy scapegoat on which to blame their ills - The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.

I was looking at it from a parent's point of view--that glass pipe bothers me.

In my county, the DWI's and drug arrests are in the paper in the form of a list--each on does not get a separate article. On that you are 100% right.

"Now they are just piling on. There will be a new charge soon in Durham: Driving While a Duke Lacrosse Player."

I have little sympathy for the kid. This isn't a case of fraudulent charges and piling on. I'm 100% sure the Chapel Hill police officer had no idea he was pulling over a Duke lacrosse player. He pulled over someone who was clearly driving drunk. The kid had almost three times the legal limit in his body. He could have killed people. At the very least he is an idiot and deserves to suffer the consequences of his actions.

Excellent! He should have told them his last name was Kennedy!

I am not defending drunk driving, and this young man deserves whatever punishment he gets.

However, I have a sneaking suspicion that these Duke players may be getting extra attention, even some stalking, by Nifong's flunkies.

Williams has been suspended "indefinitely" from Duke. I think that is a good decision based on the harm he could have caused, and his previous infractions.

When I first saw his picture, I thought it was his mug shot. But since he's wearing his team jersey, it might actually be his team picture. If so, he appears to be well acquainted with mind altering substances.

It's a shame the article was not entitled "Three Duke Lacrosse Players Drafted by Pro Teams" and dummy's offense mentioned at the end of the article. But alas, that does not fit the agenda.

It's a shame because dummy has given fodder to those who want so desperately to convict Seligman, Finnerty and Evans.

I wonder if dummy was even at the party that night? Actually "dummy"is too nice of a term. In these parts I call them "inbred idiots". Have been known to say it to their faces, LOL!

Okay, this guy Plays for the Cincinnati Bengals. So, he should make at least 300K a year.

He was charged with Sexual assualt, and NOW, he's been charged with breaking into a former teammates apartment and robbing the place.

Since he makes over 300K, why doesn't the media tell us this? How much his signing bonus was? The circumstances of the Sexual assualt he was charged with?

It doesn't say he's rich or priviliged in the article: How can this be? They didn't find someone to quote that stated Professional Athletes often feel like they are entitled and
are arrogant and aloof. They didn't name other football players that have committed sexual assault. The didn't tie his actions to a Culture of lawlessness or believing they are above the law. They made ABSOLUTELY no moral judgements about this man. They didn't not find a Sexual assault feminist activist to quote for the story to make a general statement about athletes and how they view women.
They didn't find a victim of buglary (in general) and quote him or her about how they felt when they were robbed.
We didn't hear how he attended college on an athletic scholarship and then didn't graduate. We weren't told how often these players have tutors do most of their work and
get passing grades just because they are athletes.

I am baffled and dumbfounded here. An arrogant, rich, priviliged athlete ALREADY charged with Sexual assault, robs
a former teammate and is caught, yet there is no outcry. There is no outrage. There are no marches. No organizations are formed. No one brings political pressure on his team to sanction him. We didn't even get a press conference from a DA.

Can this be right?

That is why I think the entire team should stay out of of N. Carolina until this is over.

(Look what happened to the cabbie, if you don't think they are willing to apply pressure.) Even a parking ticket can be blown up into something.

"As if the DWI and the pot was not bad enough, the glass pipe makes it worse."

Would you feel better had it been a corn-cob pipe?

Seriously though, glass pipes are quite common for smoking pot. I have owned a few in my day. No worse than finding rolling papers on him.

Bottom line is, he broke the law in several different ways and I think he should be held fully accountable.

lol. Actually she said about the mysterious fourth man, "he looks like _____ but I'm not sure." Obviously she said either Matt, Brett or Adam. I bet Nifong wishes he had manipulated the ID so she picked this guy rather than Reade "Mr Boy Scout with a air tight alibi" Seligmann.
