That never did make sense. These people (AV and her conspiritors) are all outlaws and they are lucky to have an accepting and sympathetic media on their side.
I think for the same reason she cried rape... She wanted to bond with the cops about her kids so they wouldn't haul her to jail... I think she lied to them about needing to get home to check on her kids...
After she was hospitalized, I think she wanted Bryan to go get her kids so they would be hidden if CPS came to collect them and protect them from their unstable, psycho, "dancer", straight A student, verteran, working mother.. Why else would she call him at 7:00 in the morning to go pick them up... They should have been getting ready for school by then...
They probably meant they needed to check if the kids could stay there past the 1:30 planned return time for Mangum to pick them up. I don't think we actually know if a cop went over there, though.
