Ryan Seacrest pointed out was "more than any President in the history of our country has ever received."

When are they going to stop posting this idiotic and meaningless stat. You can vote as often as you want for your "idol" and even a dedicated democrat can only vote 2 or 3 times in a presidential election.

Alabama has a rich history and legacy with respect to music. A trip to the Alabama Music Hall of Fame in Sheffield/Muscle Shoals/Florence would be well worth any body's afternoon of time. About four miles away is Ivy Green, Helen Keller's birthplace and home.

"Ruben Studdard."

I was pulling for Ruben that whole season, I think I was the only person who wasn't totally shocked when he won.

That was back when the kid was home, so I was always cooking dinner, etc. when the show was on. Only Ruben would make me come in to watch.

Alabama really rules, Idol-wise. It was nice to see their Gov. making such a fuss over Taylor.

Well, that's cool! I can see a duet with her wearing her Matrix outfit!

Now, I should have thought of this, but I was too slack-jawed at Toni Braxton's lack of class and vocal chops last night, but I found this on an AI/Clay blog:

What the heck was Toni Braxton doing? Was that singing or grunting? And did a pregnant person choose to have the Braxton-Hicks duet?? If you've been pregnant, you know what I mean!

Braxton-Hicks contractions - someone had some fun with them!

Idol fans cast a total of 63.4 million votes Tuesday night — which host Ryan Seacrest pointed out was "more than any President in the history of our country has ever received."

This is truly sad.
