will = while, darnit!
Ryan Seacrest pointed out was "more than any President in the history of our country has ever received."
When are they going to stop posting this idiotic and meaningless stat. You can vote as often as you want for your "idol" and even a dedicated democrat can only vote 2 or 3 times in a presidential election.
Ryan Seacrest is a dork
"Ruben Studdard."
I was pulling for Ruben that whole season, I think I was the only person who wasn't totally shocked when he won.
That was back when the kid was home, so I was always cooking dinner, etc. when the show was on. Only Ruben would make me come in to watch.
Alabama really rules, Idol-wise. It was nice to see their Gov. making such a fuss over Taylor.
Hicks has a nice career singing in seedy taverns for the next 10 years in front of him. ;o)
"Taylor Hicks"
I was thinking running back for some team...I need to get out more...
Well Condi seems to have a thing for football players. ;o)
Ping!
The Bernie Mac show was funny as heck too....I don't know about Law and Order, unless I need a nap or something and there isn't any Golf on....
There are rumors that the governor, b'ham mayor and other businesses are courting American Idol to have auditions there next season.
I've never seen Bennie Mac, but I think Law and Order has a short haired hottie on it.
Another member of the Soul Patrol :)
She would be accused of robbing the cradle.
Thanks for the ping jonny! I wanted Taylor from the beginning. This the first Idol season that the one I wanted right from the start actually won!
You just needed to be on the FR Idol thread.
Shoot, AI should just set up shop in Alabama....with all of the talent that makes it on the show each year.
Sen. Sessions also congratulated Taylor today on the Senate floor...and mentioned Ruben and Bo...
So, now, Taylor will have his name officially entered into the Congressional records...how neat.
COOL!!
There was a great LATimes article that noted that all of the AI winners have been from small, southern towns.
It noted that while Taylor, Pickes and the rest were getting keys to the city, having days named after them, meeting the governors, etc. Kat got a helicopter ride and a few minutes with LA Mayor Villareconquista.
The bottom line is in LA, Kat is one of a million good looking folk with talent looking to be the next "thing." There is no hometown advantage here (I was a Soul-patroller from the beginning!)
Los Angeles yawned.
