Am I the ONLY one completely BORED to death by all this talk about The Da Vinci Code? I mean for weeks all media have been flooded with more info than I would ever want about The Da Vinci Code. When I went to IMDB to look up something about a movie (OTHER than The Da Vinci Code), their damn ad banner would pop up and cover my screen and could be removed only with difficulty. Then there were endless talk shows about this "controversy." Worst of all, the History channel got taken over by programs about the Da Vinci Code as well as about Opus Dei.
Okay, finally I decided to get up to speed on the Da Vinci Code by watching one of the MANY TV shows about it. Guess what? The show about the Da Vinci Code was so BORING that I could barely follow it. I completely ZONED OUT. The only thing that really caught my attention was that the book "The Da Vinci Code" was actually something of a ripoff of a book written over 20 years ago on a similar topic.
Therefore I am forming a secret organization called Opie Dei (Ron Howard is director of the movie) which will go to extreme lengths to REMOVE any future mention of "The Da Vinci Code" from our culture.
I'm bored sideways by the Da Vinci uproar. Hate to tell you this but it was announced today that Ho'wood is going to make a film about his other title, Angels and Demons.
Money's money and that's all they care about. So the Dan Brown parade isn't likely to end any time soon.
Anyway, I find it interesting how so many people can buy into a completely implausible theory yet somehow so many folks pooh-pooh the idea that there was an organized communist conspiracy to overthrow the West despite all the TONS of records that should that was exactly the case.

What the hell were the producers thinking when they hired Opie to direct this flick. Okay, Opie made a name for himself as a director of ACTION flicks but to direct a complex plot with a theological theme? Will The Rock star in the sequel?
Didn't read the book and didn't/don't plan on going to the movie.
It is in reality a story about how charlatans throughout the past 15 centuries have used stories, claims of holy connections, and real or imaginary relics to lay claim to special status.
This whole thing is one of them.
No, because I don't even know what is it and I dont want to know.
However, I am getting bored with discussions about it!
No, you're not. The media coverage of this FICTIONAL movie reminds me of this. It's the same thing over and over and over and over and over and over......
No PJ, you are not alone. I'd rather talk about the man/bear/pig. I know more Opus Dei members than Opie does and I like them much better.
Yes. I just change the chanel - another good reason to forget TV.
Someone loaned me the book. I read it. The book was boring too, but I wanted to see what it was about.
I hate mystics and conspiracy theorists, they are boring.
The following comments are my judgments. Other people may disagree; they are just exercising their right to be wrong.
Today's Hollywood movies are made by homosexuals for homosexuals. They are unlikely to entertain anyone else.
There must be good people who could make good movies; but they do not work for the major Hollywood flick factories; and the way the film distribution system works now means those movies will not appear in our local theaters.
