Let's just put it this way: Karl Rove is a fan. 'nuff said.
While, statistically, it seems highly improbable, it's not impossible. He may have had the votes. Also, I don't think a FOIA request will get you very far since that only applies to government agencies.
Diebold.
Maybe he actually was the fan favorite! I loved him from day one. He didn't just sing, he entertained. The only other person I enjoyed was Chris. He was good, but every song sounded alike. But on the other hand, I think the judges do play a role in plugging for their favorite.
WHO CARES!
You may be on to something... Barbara Boxer received the most number of votes (based on the Secretary of State's election results) every single time she's run for the US Senate... the fix was in!!
So we better get the government investigators cranked up because you are upset that your favorite got canned? Try suggesting one bit of evidence to support that.
If the fix was in, Gideon would certainly not have been elimated that early leaving no black male performers. If the fix was in Kevin would have been eliminated in the first vote. If the fix was in, Mandisa, Lisa or Paris would have remained at least into the top 3. Finally since absolutely everyone associated with American Idol wanted Chris to win, if the fix was in, he would have.
Don't take this the wrong way, but you need to spend more time outdoors.
Hate to break it to you, Tom - but Taylor has a huge fan base.
The Soul Patrol voted in force and he won honestly.
And IMHO, he won by a landslide.
Not everyone was smitten by Ms. McPhee. I found her robotic and she hit some notes that made my ears bleed.
Not so with Taylor.
He was always a the top, and this is evidence that he wasn't actually at the top?
Really, criticial thinking is not your strength.
What's American Idol?
Of course if there's anything to be learned from season 2 it's that once you get to the top 4 or 5 the actual winner doesn't matter. If the powers that be think the person has a market they will get contract and will make CDs. Really the whole thing is nothing more than a very long commercial for which ever contestants get published.
In the words of William Shatner, "Get a life!"
Turn off the tube and get outside and do something constructive.
I think pretty quickly you'll find that you really don't give a crap about American Idol.
You're right. That hottie that had the twin sister should have been #1.
Well, I do not have the data before me, but it seems that Taylor has been the lead in votes, week after week. Its also a personality contest, whether that's right or not. People seem to think he has charisma.
Personally, I'm an Elliott fan.
Elliott got a raw deal several times; given him "open arms" to sing. It was always a dumb song. If you go to order is music on line, his 2 best songs, not just my opinion, but the judges as well are not available for sale. Whats up with that.
