Cats have a way of naming themselves.
I have a pair of Maine Coon type brothers from Dayton, Ohio. As kittens, they spent a lot of time flying at each other, so naming them Orville and Wilbur seemed obvious.

As many have already said, some cats name themselves. Our newest kitty was originally named Snuggles, because of her behavior. That has been edited to Snuggles Needletoes. Need I say why? :-)

Is he shy? Does he tend to run away from you? I had a friend with a cat who was shy and would run from people. They named him Seymour, because you'd Seymour of his a$$ than his face.

How about creamsickle ( or however it's spelled), since the wee kitty is orange and white?

Three days for the old cat to get used to the new cat? How about three years! Even then, in the middle of the night the howling and the carrying on is considerable.
There's nothing like the sound of kitties at 3 a.m. trying to run 90 miles an hour on hardwood floors.
