And hitting the bargain bins tomorrow ...
fellow Chick Martie Maguire isn't exactly mending fences.
... or making much money these days.
"I'd rather have a small following of really cool people who get it,
Whistling past the graveyard ...
"We don't want those kinds of fans. They limit what you can do."
So does bankruptcy.
"The Commie Chicks". Coming to a coffee house near you soon!
They are has beens.

Why are they lashing out at Reba? She is one of the classiest ladies in the business.
I love elitist statements by people completely devoid of logical thought.
"We don't want those kinds of fans."
Nor do those kinds of fans want them any more.
If there's a blueprint on how to ruin a career, Natalie Maines has perfected it. EVERY TIME she opens her mouth she has to insult someone. It's one thing to say what you feel and take the punches, I can even admire that...but to constantly bash her peers is so childish and it makes one wonder if there isn't a bit of sub-conscious sabotaging going on, because I just refuse to believe one person could be so, so clueless.
I'm sure Martie will appreciate both of those fans as the Chicks 'grow'!

Country radio nixes Dixie Chicks
NASHVILLLE, Tenn., May 22 (UPI) -- It appears the war U.S. country radio stations mounted against the politically outspoken Dixie Chicks has not abated in the least.
The band is promoting "Taking the Long Way," its first album since Natalie Maines told a London audience in 2003 she was ashamed to be from the same state as U.S. President George Bush. The comment sparked a radio boycott of the group's music.
Although the album hits stores Tuesday, the first two singles from the album are not getting widespread airplay, Billboard.com reported Monday.
The first single, "Not Ready to Make Nice," only peaked at No. 36 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart and the second single, "Everybody Knows," is moving downward after its peak at No. 48.
WKIS FM in Miami reported it pulled "Not Ready to Make Nice" due to listener complaints after only one week.
The program director at KUBL/KKAT in Salt Lake City told Billboard he was angered by its "self-indulgent and selfish lyrics."
Neither the Chicks or their label, Columbia Records, would speak to Billboard for its article.
These moonbats are so ignorant that I almost feel sorry for the, almost. They screwed up and got nailed and now refuse to just let it go, really pathetic.
I hope they stay in the U.S. If they leave, who the hell are we going to laugh at? We need better dittzes than these clowns and Barbara Striesand, and Cutie-pie Katy will flame out on cBS, then what are we gonna' do for fun?
Wretch!!
Dont go way mad! Just GO AWAY!
In other words, she wants sycophants and acolytes. People with minds of their own need not apply.
I spend a penny on them and I sure glad of that now.
You need to have fans, good luck with that attitude.
Those silly females...it's all about pride, IMHO. Their silly careers are DOA...
Is is usual for a label to release a "single" off a new album about a month before the album goes on sale. "Single" release means they sent it ot radio stations for air play. There are no single cuts for sale in stores during this period. If that "single" is high on the air play charts the day the album goes on sale the first weeks album sales will be good.
On rare occasions when the first "single" release off the album tanks, the record company will release a second "single" from the album in hopes that the second cut will be doing well on the charts when the album is released for sale.
In this case the record company has released two "singles" off this latest Dixi Chicks album before the album went on sale, and both have bombed. Both cuts broke the charts in the 30s and 40s and then went down from there.
