I would like to see someone run against him, too but they had better get going if they want to- June 30th is coming up fast. Plus, I live in Colorado so I have no idea whether a Republican can even get elected in Durham or if there's one that would mount a legitimate candidacy.

The more criticism is heaped on Nifong from "outside", the more those who live there will circle the wagons around him imo. I sensed that in Judge Stephens yesterday, who seemed to take umbrage at Osborn's worry that the DA wouldn't voluntarily do the right thing about discovery, and that the Durham PD might not handle the phone evidence carefully.
