DURHAM, N.C.One of three Duke University lacrosse players charged with rape wants the case resolved in time for the next school year, his lawyer said in court yesterday. But the judge warned he will not fast-track the proceedings.
The case "is not going to jump ahead of the line and be handled any differently," Superior Court Judge Ronald L. Stephens said at a hearing for sophomore Reade Seligmann.
After the brief hearing, District Attorney Mike Nifong said he does not expect any trial to begin before next year.

I agree -- that is the more obvious similarity. I prefer the close-up to study the bone structures.. The resemblance is there.
OK thanks.
Your post reminds me of the girl from Dirty Dancing. When I watched the movie, I thought she had a unique look that was cute and sexy, but when I saw her after the nose job, she was just another girl.
I am hopelessly behind on this case.
Cliff Notes, anybody??
:-)
I feel your pain. I lived in Illinois for three years and got the same. Victor's history. By any modern measure Sherman and Sheridan were guilty of war crimes (aggressive warfare against an undefended civilian population). Lee in Maryland and Pennsylvania refused to do so. I've wondered how things might have turned out if Lee had been willing to leave a trail of smoldering wreckage in his wake?
Olivia Goldsmith has been one of my favorite authoresses since long before her passing (RIP). She's probably had every part done. But through her (possible) fictions, I read her books with my sociologist lens to base more studies upon the culture of "unnecessary surgeries" (my term). It's to "fit in" and it's not just a "look" culture but one which has other appelations. It was right about this time that a pal, Paul, a pro reporter/journalist, sent me a draft of an article he'd recently written about the culture of "having amputations", happening in Los Angeles and elsewhere in the U.S.
Shwang.. And I had just finished reading Toni Morrison's "The Bluest Eye".
I saw fiction shaping a culture of masochists and the sadists who love them (as customers). ick... a genuine "boys of Brazil" time of wondering...
etc. etc.etc. I grew up in libraries all over northern California, therefore and got my history there.
I've wondered how things might have turned out if Lee had been willing to leave a trail of smoldering wreckage in his wake?
Stopped in my tracks. Yes, you are quite right. I'll probably dream about this question tonight.
My own report? Just digging up and doing more research. Perdogg has posted recent articles. Wait! There was a Galanter "event" involving some people making statements as to their "incredulousness" at what Nifong is doing.
As long as I'm going to keep you up at night - given that disparity in behavior did the "civilized" side win?
Megyn, coming up on FOX with more of the interview with the AV's cousin.
There is no answer to that question because Lee would not have left a trail of smoldering wreckage.
It was not in his makeup to do so. And if it was, then it would not be Lee.
He had his neurotic side and the family was a bit dysfunctional (his daughters never spoke after his death), but he was a good man.
Have you all seen the cousin already?
