So despite saying the accuser lived with them, the father is now saying she dropped the children off "at their house" that night. So where was the accuser living and with whom? It is against the law to live in one school district and have your children attend school in another. Either she lives close to her parents and her children attend the neighborhood school, or she brings the children to their house to catch the school bus for a school they're not entitled to attend.

The father said earlier that he took the accuser and her kids to the store for candy around 6:00 pm, but now he says she arrived at 9:30 to drop off the children. Then he and she went to a convenience store at 10:00. I wonder if her license in currently suspended and that's why she's always being taken places by others?

They were trying to keep the Boyfriends involvement out: in my opinion

This is my opinion too. You weren't here yet; but we did go chapter and verse upon WHY the boyfriend's name was never mentioned but he was ALLUDED to; referred to in a zillion articles.

Current stats show that black on white rape is far more prevalent a number. I guess those high rape incidences don't matter to a reparations droid.

I guess I'll have to turn myself in. I drove my kids to the school of my choice for many years. I never lied about their home address, and no one ever questioned it.

Thanks, I missed that. So why didn't Greta mention it! The only redeeming aspect of her show was the interview with Cheshire. I hope he is as sharp and tough as he appears to be.

I should have qualified that by saying "where I live". My husband is a school administrator, and cross-district school attendance is a problem here in NC where we currently live, and when we lived in GA.

Where there is already school overcrowding (trailers in the school parking lot), there is no "come one, come all" welcome for out of district folks.

A good summation of why the defendants are innocent:

But the report also noted that 14 of the 3,561 profiles in the company's DNA data bank could not be excluded as sources.

I wonder how that would extrapilate out? (That's my OJ Simpson trial word, LOL)

That's big, and it means the fingernails are useless to the prosecution.

It could even be lab contamination with it "matching" 14 of the labs control profiles.

A very good article. It is indeed almost unheard of for a DA to refuse to talk with the accused. Several attorneys have said they ALWAYS talk with the accused when they so offer because they often say something damaging to their own case.

Thanks for that summation link, GAgal. Despite the wealth of exculpatory evidence, a Durham jury in the present climate there might choose to ignore it.

Could the defense then appeal such a decision? More time and expense for them, I know, but proven innocence is worth more than money.

Try getting a security clearance with the Department of Defense and you'll find out just how "expunged" your record is.

"Do you know if Malik Shabazz is the son of Betty Shabazz and Malcom X?"

Offhand, I don't think so. I've never heard that. I read an explanation of where he got his name from (Malik Zulu Shabazz), and I didn't see a mention of that (although I might turn out to be wrong)
