Did I read correctly that Crystal's cell phone account was terminated the day after? She was horribly and brutally raped by three men for 30 minutes and beaten black and blue BUT her cell phone was missing and she didn't want anyone running up her minutes so she remembered to cancel it. Do I have that right?
Why wasn't the heckler removed from the courtroom? Perhaps because he's black?? How pathetic!!
Yes the defense said that service was canceled the next day. However, it is unclear whether it was her phone or someone elses she was using.
I think I heard a reference to the phone being a 3rd party's. If so, hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

I was watching Seligmann's face and I think it's just now setting in how things work and how an innocent person could be found guilty in this atmosphere.
GAgal posted a link about what things violate the DA's oath of office and would let him be removed from office.
Maybe we should start a petition and send it to the Governor. I'm dead serious.

Her phone service was terminated the next day according to what was said in court. It's possible a third party owns the phone and that's why the j udge wants to review information retrieved from the cell phone in camera -- there may be privacy issues if the phone is indeed owned by a third party.
What I found interesting was Nifong playing around and pretending he wasn't sure if the info had been retrieved from the phone or not.
If Seligmann's attorney is correct and if the battery dies and the information contained in the phone dies with it, then that's what Nifong is waiting for.
He KNOWS that information contained in there will show that the stripper/hooker/lying *itch was talking on the cell phone while she was in the bathroom presumably being raped.
NC Governor Mike Easley (D) is the one who appointed Nifong (D). I seriously doubt that appeal would work. Our state votes RED, but the Dems dominate the legislature too. It's a mess.
I doubt anything can be done to Nifong until this trial is completed.

What was all that stuff about her $300 cell phone then? Not her's apparently. Maybe wanted to get paid for its loss? I have a new bluetooth razor and it was about $100 with sign up. Cancelling is very interesting.
