A woman has shot an alligator that came into her home and attacked her dog.

When the reptile came into the lanai of her home east of Bradenton Saturday and attacked her golden retriever, Frey went and got her gun.

After Frey and her daughter managed to push the gator out of the lanai through the dog door, she blasted away at it four times.

The alligator barely bled from gunshots to the neck and shoulder, Frey said, and wildlife officer put it back in the lake.

The deputy gave Frey a warning citation for hunting without a license.

It is getting so bad that if you shoot any vermin on your property, you can be charged.

I suppose that includes democrats?

They bite just the same.

Now, calm down, guys.

It was only a WARNING.

"I'm letting you off with a warning. But I don't want to catch you doing this again."

The update to the story is that the deputy came back and rescinded the warning ticket. Duh.

Since Deputy Dumbass put the gator back in the lake, that gator will be back to the home. She needs to get herself a .45 and learn what "between the eyes" means. Then she should find a web site that tells how to tan the hide, or find somebody to do it who won't ask questions, and have herself some nice luggage made of it. Dispose of the carcass clandestinely and tell nobody about it.
