Instead of attacking only Bush for his moderate speech, the Conservative base should vote-out of office and attack these Republicans who block any progress in the Senate.

Hey, we'll have none of that "responsibility" talk around here mister. Let's just keep electing the RINO's so we have stuff to complain about.
To: screw boll
Instead of mindlessly attacking the GOP maybe the DNC "Virtual Campaigners" pretending to be "Betrayed Conservatives should point out who voted for and against the bill.
Here who is voted for the strict Border Enforcement bill in the US Senate. Notice which party the vast majority belong too? Squealing at your own side may make "Conservatives" feel good, it does NOT get the Conservative ball moved down the field.

Seriously, is there anyone who can rationally explain why these R's voted like this?
Am I just incredibly stupid and missing something here?

Agreed. Norm Coleman on this list surprised me. Why did McCain not vote? Is he dodging the issue?

Funny, notice the states where they are from.... see any SW states? Notice how the states that are disproportionally effected by Mexican illegal immigration are all for security first.

Yep--why would we want to sit home and toss out conservatives? Better to work to get rid of Libs in the primaries.
Which of these is up for re-election?

Wyden the liberal from Oregon voted for this approach. WTH is going on when a lib is for it and Brownback a "conservative" is against it?

Those Republicans and Democrats that voted against the enforcement first amendment endorse Bush's approach. Wrap your mind around that reality.

At this point what's the difference if the democrats win back the Senate. Republicans vote like them any way. We would basically get the same result. Two things:
1. Lincoln Chafee, Mike Dewine, Voinavich, Collins, Snow and Specter are A holes
2. Hillary talks tough on immigration but her votes tell the real story. Republicans better exploit her vote in this
To: screw boll
What's the matter with John Warner? He voted against strict enforecement first? God, that's crazy.

Great! Mid term elections are in November, aren't they?
If I were in charge of televised news I'd have cut-ins for every vote taken while this is being debated.
Up to the minute news, indeed.

I have not read the bill but....
This seems as striking as the Duncan Hunter bill that put the dems on the spot about removing troops from Iraq.
Again it shows that the Senate is where the REAL problem is.
Even though I disagree with W in part about this issue he did the right thing sending the ball to Congress' side of the net. Seems they missed the ball entirely with this vote.
Simply amazing.
The senate really isn't listening to the people.
To: screw boll
As I've said many times, our Republican majority in the Senate is an illusion. Until 7 to 10 of these fakes get tossed in favor of conservatives, we'll get nothing done on this issue, and little done on the other agenda items.
