He sure did--- he thinks she's awesome. They agreed on every single thing they talked about.

I really like Micheal Medved. On most issues, he's fantastic. But on a few...

I really like Medved as well. He's very smart. I guess there's not going to be one person out there that you (collective you) will totally agree with. If you did, that person would be you. It's the same with politics. As much as President Bush drives me nuts on some things, I would be really miserable with Gore or Kerry in there.

He's basically wetting his pants over a McCain presidential run. How disgusting can you get, Medved?

Now Michael is saying Senator McCain "only disagrees with President Bush re: the WOT on torture" and not on any other issue!

That's blatantly false and utterly ridiculous! On intelligence, on President Bush's choice for Secretary of Defense, on practically every issue, he's been against the president. http://www.nationalreview.com/levin/levin.asp

And now he's giving Senator McCain credit for endorsing President Bush and campaigning ofr him in Arizona? It's like Chris Rock said about providing for your kids--- that's what he's SUPPOSED to do! He's the freaking senior senator from Arizona and a (nominal) Republican!

What abou all the compliments Senator McCain paid John Kerry during the campaign? What about his relentless attacks on the Swiftboaters?

This is Michael's worst consecutive segemnts I've ever listened to. What? Now he's saying he's against same sex marriage and abortion? He's neither! http://www.slate.com/id/2139775

I think John Podhortz convinced Michael that Hillary will be nearly unstoppable unless Senator McCain or Rudy wins the nomination. I can't take any more of this! Must... turn... off.. radio.. before... vomiting!!!!!!!!

DID IT!!!!!!!!

I've always tended to like Medved, since he devotes a lot of time to cultural issues. In fact, I bought his "50 Worst Films" and "Golden Turkey Awards" books when they first came out, and continued to follow him through the years. But, about four weeks ago, I caught his show, and he seemed to take a very positive view towards the McCain-Kennedy amnesty plan, and I frankly haven't been inclined much to tune in to his show since then.

Prager has had Ms. Jacoby on once or twice. She's not for any kind of wall/fence/barrier whatever. I was happy that Prager disagreed with her on that particular issue. Last time she was on Prager she was debating with a person on the other side of the issue--can't remember his name--probably from some conservative think tank. She kept going on about how a wall would be a negative message/symbol to send out to the world. She's a leftie.

"I find it difficult to see the United States as a country with a militarized border."

We live in different times today. We've been attacked on our own soil and not only did 3,000 of us die, but they managed to wreak havoc on our economy for three years in the process. All of the 9-11 attackers were here illegally, and we have no idea how many sleeper cells are here today as a result of pourous borders. A temporarily militarized border is the perfect solution as we gradually establish a more effective border control system by increasing electronic surveiylance, manpower stations, arial surveiylance and erecting stronger security fences. With insufficient manpower at our southern border, they'll be coming back into our country faster than we can deport them.

Thanks for the ping!

I don't think that the touchy feely is why I don't like the concept of the wall..

It's just a perception issue for me. The last important wall was the Berlin Wall and while it would be completely different, perception matters as do words. We get called Nazis enough thank you very much. LOL.

I think that there are much more effective, much less expensive ways to control the border, so I am for a "virtual" wall. Let's put some of our fine American technology to work. If we can keep up with speed-skaters at the Olympics, we can keep up with sprinters and swimmers. Proverbially speaking of course.

BTW, McCain's speech was very good. But I will NEVER vote for him in the primaries under any circumstances. (On the other hand, it's pretty doggone foolish for me to say never about anything...but I'm prettys sure!)

Dennis Prager's style of discussion-- "clarity is more important than agreement" allows him to really expose people like her. She says she's against state sponsered multi-culturalism, but I think she just uses that as a cover to make her extreme stands seem more moderate, becuase she puts absolutely no energy into fighting against the former. He's great!

That's just what Medved said. He wouldn't be Medved's first choice. Let's pray he doesn't get the nomination.

I have a different take on a physical barrier--it tells the world that what we have here in the United States is special and should be protected. It's not a barrier to keep people in. Also, the ignorant people that say we are Nazis (those abroad and homegrown) are going to be ignorant no matter what we do.

I really appreciate Prager style of discussion because it demonstrates respect for disagreement.

That is very rare these days. There are just people you are going to disagree with and it's not going to change—no matter how stupid they are. ; ).

I don't have the radio on now, but had it on in the car.

I just don't want to do anything that will make the State Departments job any harder. As exasperated as I get with them, I understand and support the job they do: Good Cop to the Military Bad Cop, figuratively speaking of course.

Also, our border is very long. The cost would be prohibitive and it probably wouldn't be functional. Human beings have a way of doing what they want no matter what. And we area pretty tenacious about it. Therefore, we need to find better ways to keep them out.

I suppose that's the job they're supposed to do--- I think many if not most in the foreign service see their job as representing other nations, and above all the international community to us.

Still, I agree we need to be careful. Many Americans don't realize that, as obnoxious as he is, President Fox is the best president Mexico has had in the last--- probably ever-- he finally broke the grip somewhat of the socialist/fascist (pretty much the same thing) PRI party. If he's replaced by that commie former mayor of Mexico City Hugo Chavez armpit sniffer, that would be a disaster. So i'm glad that President Bush is careful not to give the guy material for election propaganda.

It's a fine line we walk. I agree with how people get their priorities mixed up. Dual advocacy is a bear.

He's back! He is so right-- The Indiana Jones movies in no way attack Christianity or Judaism the way the Da Vinci Code does--- I hate it when people say that!

He's probably best in his Cultural Crusader mode-- I loved how years ago, he exposed how leftists had corrupted the wholesomely patriotic comic book hero captain America and turned it into a platform for their sick agendas.

Oh, I meant during the show he did on her--- but I can't remember exactly what his take was, except that it wa snegative and good... Oprah's jumped on the blame America for Darfur like many(most?) other celebs.

I was amazed by the young girl who called on Friday who said, yes, Oprah was her spiritual leader. Incredible.

Yes, that would have been interesting his take on her jumping on the Sudan crusade. Did you read Debbie Schlussel's article on that topic?

Just read it--- that was devastating! The way the intelligentsia of the leftist black establishment acts as though arabs are smehow black themeselves when arabs enslaved more Africans than any other group has by far is just incredible to me. At least these hollywood phonys are finding it in themselevs to finally get over that, if only because there are no Christians to worry about accidentally saving. That's a terrible thing to say, but that's what this whole thing comes off as. Oprah, Clooney, Jolie and the rest are a real piece of work.
