May 13, 2006 — The second round of DNA test results in the Duke University rape investigation show "no conclusive match'' to any lacrosse players, defense attorneys said, but a vaginal swab of the alleged rape victim produced DNA from a "single male source'' — a man not on the lacrosse team who did not attend a March 13 party that was the site of the alleged rape.

Defense attorney Joe Chesire declined to identify the mystery man or his connection to the alleged victim, but ABC News' Law and Justice Unit has learned that the unnamed source of the DNA is the alleged victim's "boyfriend," according to her mother.
ABC News is withholding the name of the man because he is apparently not a target of the investigation. Records indicate that Durham, N.C., police gave the "boyfriend'' a cheek swab to collect DNA on May 3, ABC News' Law and Justice Unit has learned exclusively.
It is unclear if or how the first DNA tests missed what appears to be the only foreign genetic material found on the alleged victim's body, defense attorneys said. Two Duke lacrosse players were indicted more than two weeks before the cheek swab was taken from the "boyfriend."
It is also unclear whether the alleged victim had sex with the "boyfriend" the night she claims to have been raped by three Duke lacrosse players. DNA experts tell ABC News that genetic traces of semen can remain in the body up to six days after intercouse.

Well, no SANE nurse has spoken, and nobody has seen the SANE report; they're all relying on Nifong's interpretation of what the report says.
We've seen how well that's worked out for them so far, huh?

Neither could I. But they seem to have taken on some significance with the latest DNA test results. xoxoxox was really pushing toward the Mangum name. That's what made me check the bar directory. Maybe it's nothing -- but an assistant DA in the neighboring county with the same name as the accuser? Hmmm... but maybe it's just a red herring.

Here's something to throw into your scenario:
Recall that the first DNA tests came back on a Friday, late in the day, two days before the GJ met on that following Monday at 9 a.m.
You don't suppose he went ahead with the indictments, knowing another man was involved, do you?
Either that, or he got a heads up from LabCorp that there was a ringer out there?
Seems to me they'd have to testing half the population with this AV.
Pimp/BF gets mad because (1)She is "imparired" and wants to cancel "dancing gig" at the party. (2)She hasn't been making enough money to support him
They fight,have sex then he sends her to the party.
She arrives at the party late and too wasted to perform.
The players want to renegotiate her fee because she is "out of it" and can't dance.
She argues, boys get nervous and tell her to get out.
She gets worried about what pimp/bf will do if she comes home without the cash.
She dusts off and updates her old "3 men raped me" tale from 10 years ago and blubbers it first to police then to Nifong, the Village Idiot.
There's a difference in NiFong calling and saying "Hey, we have a new sample we want you to check".
But that's not the problem....They ALWAYS knew there was semen present and they indicted BEFORE looking at all the evidence.
They also knew that the first sample didn't match the boys. Why would they introduce this May 3rd sample? at LabCorp. It's not necessary....or did someone refresh NiFong on the "Prior sexual conduct" exceptions?
